sweet waffle Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Liverpool haven't lost at home in the league this season, fingers crossed that now is the time for that to change. Please please please Villa, do us all a favour and beat the Scum.
TheWestwayWonder Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Every time I am blatantly partisan in a neutral matchup, it never works out. So naturally, I will be speaking in a scouse accent, and singing 'You''l Never Walk Alone' until about 6pm GMT <_<
Zola's Love Child Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Liverpool to win for me. Will make sure that United don't know their slip up has gone unpunished, and theres barely any chance of Liverpool winning the title this year. Keep United scared, so we can try and get things back on track.
b00gamaster Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 scum just scored.. Villa's defence in shambles..
TheWestwayWonder Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 (edited) scum just scored.. Villa's defence in shambles.. I think thats harsh. They were definitely second best for the first first minutes, but when an FK goes off the bar, the result in the box is usually chaos. Since that time, they have really come into the game and had several good moves. But yeah, the defense hasnt looked very confident when Liverpool really come at them. On the bright side, they dont seem intimidated and st. stevie just got carded, not for a dive <_< Edited March 22, 2009 by TheWestwayWonder
TheWestwayWonder Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Okay, i jinxed them. That was definitely a shambles
b00gamaster Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 3:0... already.. oh well I hope Fergie will give his team proper hair-dryer treatment this time and the effect will last for the rest of the season, because the liverscum are very determined.. I'm not looking forward to our next CL game..
mad_mac Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 5-0 currently, we don't even have our Goal Difference to rely on anymore. They are fastly becoming the team in form, and we are always "f*cked" when we are relying on other teams to do us favours. I'm starting to get very nervous about the CL match against them now. They seem to be scoring for fun, and we are rarely getting a sniff
Chippy Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 I hate to say it but they have done what good teams do..they saw UTD drop points and they went out to give a statement of intent and keep the pressure well on them. That is exactly what we have had the chance to do several times this season and never once took the opportunity. yesterday was the ultimate chance with playing a team we love to beat but again we never even looked like we wanted to take advantage. The Rafa rant that everyone said had given Fergie the upper hand is starting to fade and it looks like the nerves are more unsettled at OT then Anfield. I hate both teams and the thought of them both ending above us fills me with dread.
Virosh Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 This has been the best possible weekend for both Liverpool and Arsenal For Liverpool, their main two title contenders lost, with the main one going down in flames, losing 2 players through suspension and 1 through injury and with confidence suffering a big dent. The other one is as good as out of the race. On top of that, they beat one of the best teams in England by a huge margin. For Arsenal, they finally find their form and have their major opponent lose big. Why, oh why, did I wake up on Saturday ? <_<

Spot on Chippy. Liverpool showed everything we didn't. They played at a high tempo, they didn't let Villa settle into the game, they were first to the ball most of the time, they took their chances well and they genuinely looked like a side that believe they can win the league and WANT to win the league.
TheWestwayWonder Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Despite Villa's point total and position, I dont think there is a more deflated team in the Premiership at the moment. We didnt exactly make easy work of them in Guus's first league game, but that was the start of their rot. And by the looks of it, I dont think its gonna be over till may. I think at the moment, they are the team to play for whoever, which probably bodes well for the Mancs Also, we are going to have an earful the next week about "Captain Fantastic" who had a hatrick off two pens and a comically bad freekick that somehow went in. Do Villa play Arsenal again this year? I dearly hope M o'N has a trick up his sleeve in the last few weeks
Valerie Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 I want this weekend to be over. Thankfully I won´t be confronted with a gleeful Scum supporter, my thoughts are with the Chelsea supporters who have to control their murderous urges.
charierre Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Whilst I'm not overjoyed with the Liverpool result ,keeping Liverpool in the title race will stop Benitez from resting players before the champions league match something he has had the luxury of doing in the past.
clubhappy Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 We all have to play Arsenal again , these games for me could have a huge impact on the title and the season has another twist to come . Absolutely none of us want to play them, they are returning to form , have important players back and they are very capable of beating all 3 of us . The week break could be good for us , this will tell how good Hiddink is as a manager and how he gets us to react . If we struggle and fail to beat Newcastle away then im afraid its back to the drawing board and a reality check . Yes i hope Utd win the premiership , but they have lost 3 players , Liverpool v Fulham in 2 weeks might just do both of us a favour and i can see them losing or getting a draw.
WoodmanBlue Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I live with a Liverpool Fan and an Arsenal fan and i have a Spurs fan who sits next to me at work......... i have had stick all weekend, now i am preparing for it throughout the week! Not good!
