Magic Soul.......Love Ska, northern Soul, raggae even black Disco. Ex skin have to best music in the world. Of course will listen and love Madness, Specials The Jam though Paul Weller very gifted a bit too political. Style Council and very underestemated Bad Manners.

Going Back Home by Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltrey. A superb album. Amazing the way that Wilko recovered from a very serious illness.

Totally miraculous. I've got a mate who's a cancer specialist and I remember sending him an article about it. He said it was genuinely incredible. He had pancreatic cancer, which is one of the most lethal cancers, and they removed his pancreas and put him on iodine tablets, just to see what happened. In his mind he was resigned to dying within days or weeks, and the doctors were dumbfounded that he survived.

I'll search my email to track down the article.

For me, THE best period for music will always be 77-80. Loads of great bands back then, with the best of the bunch being The Jam.

They were such a great live band - so much passion and energy. Made them stand out from a lot of the dross that came with punk & new wave. They went on to become huge and I'll always admire Weller for splitting the band when they were at the top, rather than go on and on and become meaningless like so many bands do. That's why their records stand the test of time and still sound so great today. My music tastes have broadened over the years, but when I need my "go-to" music, it will always be The Jam. Was lucky enough to see them live a few times but was too young in '77 to go to the early gigs. Wish I was here.............................

Whenever will you see any of todays artists  sweating so much because he/ she is putting all over their bboolloockks and more into their act as the song brings out all the emotions  and more during the act

Paul heaton and beautiful south > perfect 10 >  i read somewhere that more people across the uk have at least one beautiful south cd if not more tucked away somewhere than any other band artist . I was into the house martins and just follwed Paul heaton and beautiful south due to natural process . He writes all his own songs and his use of words is up with the best . I dont agree with heatons political stance but for sure is far too under rated >

Nibs and ddr thank you for your input. Not sure about Paul Heaton though thought he loved the North yet that was a London Bus in the video?. Loved the good, the bad and the ugly. Quality.

Agree with the Jam energy was fantastic, it was like One Step beyond by Madness. Fantastic fighting music. The memorys.
