Here's an emotionally charged song for wxwax

Hmmm, someone's making fun of me!

Here's more my style, moi. John Lennon had emotional honesty and intensity oozing out of every pore of his music. Messy but magnetic. I loved him.

It's a typo. The world has forgotten how to spell. Worse, it doesn't care. It's called progress. Harumph.

Two songs have been going through my head for a few months now. Both have what I like in a good rock song -- a moment of elation, usually from a guitar solo. Here's one.

A friend sent me this last night - I'm a great fan of Sinead O'Connor's but had never heard her sing this beautiful song before

That's beautiful. Puts me in mind of this, perhaps my favorite piece of religious music.

So sue me, I like it.

As authentic as the Monkees and just as enjoyable. Fun music.

And the other one is..?

Here it is. Very similar to The Knife. Sorry about the advert.

The adverts don't come on when you post the youtubes in here, wxwax. I'd never heard that Deep Purple song - excellent!

I did like your version of Schubert's Ave Maria, but on the whole I prefer the Bach/Gounod Ave Maria

That is lovely, moi. Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of Bach, although I did enjoy that. One does make an exception for something wild and extravagant like this, for example!
