Cult TV series.

Featured Replies

It will be a cult in years to come. Russell Tovey is brilliant!

P.S. Sorry, because this has gone on to a new page, I have to edit to explain that I'm talking about Being Human, which Ruh Buh Juh mentioned on the previous page.

Russell Tovey is a superb actor, I have no idea why no one's properly picked up on him until now. He was brilliant in The History Boys, and he's immense in Being Human.

History? It's just one f**king thing after another! ;)

What about the amazing Father Ted surely one of the greatest comedy series ever made, i remember when it was on first my parents would not watch at as back then the catholic church still had some credibility, also bottom, south park, and others that i cant think of right now.

I'm not the biggest Father Ted fan, but it sure is a very funny show. I've seen a few episodes and it's a good one.

'how i met your mother' is also fu*king funny ;))

Yes! Finally someone agrees with me! I love How I Met Your Mother!!

Lost is probably the most possible "cult" tv show I've watched, though I'm sure more will be experienced as the years roll by.

I'm not sure of many things in life, but I am sure that Danger Mouse is the greatest TV program ever. I absolutely love it, and when I tell people that it's still my favourite show they tend think I'm trying to be a bit out there and different, but it genuinely is.

prison break is much better than lost imo..

Oh god no. The first series of Prison Break was incredible, but it just got worse and worse - the 4th series was terrible. Lost's first series was incredible too, and the rest haven't lived up to the first, obviously, but Lost has kept the standard very high, even though it's confusing as hell.

Both's first season were okay. But Lost's next episodes was indescribably long and senseless. For example: Clair was ill and next one months episodes whole crew were trying to get a medicine for her.... understand what i'm saying? D:

Yes, but they're on an island! You don't expect them to find the medicine in one fell swoop?

I've never understood the hype around Lost. I got bored before the first season was over. I know many television series take time before they start to shine so I watched it waiting for it to get good, but it never happened. At least not during the first season.

Out of the "new" us tv shows such as prison break, heroes, 24, fringe etc etc and i've watched them all and Lost is quite simply head and shoulders above them in my opinion only if you stick by it.

Some seasons are pretty confusing but season 6( which is the last and it's coming to an end in 2 weeks) is by far one of the best seasons of any show i've watched.

Agreed, this series has been immense so far.

I disagree with you about Lost being head and shoulders above Fringe though, Fringe is brilliant. Lost is better, but as soon as Fringe gets full flow into series 3/4, I'm sure it'll leap frog it.

Gods I hope Fringe gets full slow soon, the suspense is killing me. I've just watched the first of the 2-part season finale and its amazing. Next Friday can't come soon enough.

Other shows:

Prison Break

Jericho

Get Smart

The Saint

Star Trek : The Next Generation

Brilliant! I've got into that quite lately through a friend who has lent me the DVDs and I am totally hooked! Whcih series did that excerpt come from?
