Alex Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Looks like its going to be the usual long drawn out process. Few teams to avoid in pot two for england. Wouldnt want to get sweden or Czech. Would lov to get Rep of Ireland though
The Moos Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Czech is on their way down so you should have won against them if you'd faced them. I'd say England got the toughest group. England Switzerland Bulgaria Wales Montenegro Fewer games, but the few you've got are not exactly easy. But I think England will make it through anyway.....even without JT as captain.
Ruh Buh Juh Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Come on Wales, we could actually do rather well this year....

Looking at the other groups I think England have got a pretty group, which is really annoying :P
The Machine Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 One other thing about the draw is that Scotland have been dealt with another awful qualifying group: Spain, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Leichtenstein. I cannot see Scotland winning another of the away games in that group. In fact they might even draw in Leichtenstein like they did against the Faroe Islands all those years ago.
Virosh Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 EnglandSwitzerland Bulgaria Wales Montenegro We've got no chance. I'd be happy if we finished 3rd in that group.

I cannot see Scotland winning another of the away games in that group. In fact they might even draw in Leichtenstein like they did against the Faroe Islands all those years ago. I think Spain will finish first in that group. They are probably the best team in the world at the moment and I can't see them failing to claim the top spot. But I wouldn't be surprised if Scotland would come 2nd. The away games are always tough, but surely they should be able to beat Lithuania and Leichtenstein? And dropping a point somewhere isn't the end of the world. As for Czech Republic they were great during the 90s and a few years into the new millenium, but they are declining. Some of the big names have quit and they don't have loads of young talents stepping up. I can see Scotland getting atleast 4 points off them.
mad_mac Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 In our Group, Scotland, we will do our usual and play well against the Czech's and the Spannish, and then throw away points at Lithuainia and Lichtenstein. We do have a chance, so Levein will have to get us ready.

I think you guys have a decent chance to make it trough. I predict loses against Spain, but you should be able to handle the rest. The Faroe Island team is quite bizarre and can be a tricky opponent playing away, so you can't really compare the two teams.
BlueBeard Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Scotland have got another tough group, nothing new there. As for England, I really don't give a f*ck anymore after Capello's actions - the man's a c*nt.
Plavi26 Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 My teams are in a tricky position; Serbia has again been drawn i a tricky group, but should be able to finish second, or even first if they surprise the Italians; Croatia has pretty much only Greece stopping it for reaching the Euro; and Bosnia has to deal with France and Romania, which could be an interesting affair.

Serbia is a tough team. I have my eye out for them in the World Cup. Germany has a pretty easy Euro 2012 draw, I have to admit. Turkey could be a threat but I think they overachieved in Euro 2008.

Andreas Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Sweden and England not in the same group again, bollocks. Wanted to see the Chelsea boys over here in Sweden for once!!! -_-

Maksimov Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 and we got sweden. again. so boring... I'm actually a bit excited about getting Hungary. The memory of the final qualifier match for the 1998 World Cup still haunts me...

The memory of the final qualifier match for the 1998 World Cup still haunts me... if that haunts you what can i say? it would have been better to lose that match, the playoff matches against Yugoslavia were a real horror, we got humped 12-1...
