one PR disaster after another, started to list them but there are too many - here is a couple

latest oddity - since the wilkins departure (fiasco), why have we not had any interviews with lamps or frank - in fact they have both gone quiet (unless I have missed something)

then we have essien completely stupid sending off, then taking a trip to Africa, then he has toe injury and can't play in CL

drogs with malaria.......................never heard of a player anywhere contracting malaria, then he keeps playing (badly at that)

carlo denying he is leaving

nothing from roman at all

team worst performances since 1998

most shots in 1 game for 5 years, and not 1 goal

etc etc

answers on a postcard

meanwhile we get a sell out home and away and our fans do their job

time for Chelsea Football Club to do theirs dont you think

It's a conspiracy I tell you. Neither Lampard or his brother Frank have given any interviews just proves it. And Essien. Well it's obvious. He deliberately got sent off and when he got to Africa sneakily booted a convenient rock to add a toe injury to suspension. Malaria you're 'aving a laugh. Drobga is sulky like what umm.. someone said the other day. Carlo says he ain't going. Well I arsk you. That's a sure sign if ever there was. He's off no doubt about it. And that performance against Sunderland? It's a disgrace I tell you, a diabolical disgrace. Did I say it was a conspiracy? Well it is. And all them shots what was missed. Don't tell me that's a coincidence. Stands to reason all that money they gets paid and not one of them could hit a barn door with a banjo.

That Video got me thinking you know, You never see that Duckworth or Jack lately and the Rovers was better then than on Saturday when they let seven in before that bloke with the Red nose called time.

SOTN 31 - The Shame

came around this article about the current situation at Bridge and Carlo's dilemma with certain bunch of people targeting him for the string of poor results....a good read and calls for a introspection for those Blue fans who are confused with all the happenings lately.

IMHO we just need to support the squad in this crisis situation as a True Blue Fan.

daam fine article - it should be compusory reading for a lot of the more "modern" supporters in here - you all know who you are

I blame the snow. I've never forgiven his friend 'The rain' for Moscow. What about the wind? That's obviously played iit's part against us.

Something or someone is to blame. The clubs coach driver has a lot to answer for. Oh and what about Doris the cobham tea lady.

Bollocks I'm going back to bed.

Really good article, I think it should be made a sticky on here and every new member should have a paragraph from it as their signiture for their first six months.

In all seriousness, maybe the bloke who started this topic had had a few too many last night. If this is the case, I'm guessing he'll be well embarrassed when he sobers up and reads what he's actually written.

Can I be arsed to even think about replying to all this? well, yes, I can, it's snowing and it's linchtime and there's sweet FA on the telly, so.....

Wilkins departure is only a fiasco if you believe Ian Wright and his cohorts in the press - everyone who knows the details says his contract was up.

As well as no interviews with Frank or Lamps (not sure what you mean by this) we have had no interviews with Cech or Deco or Frank sinclair. I can't remember when it became a rule for injured players to report in for interview duty other than the prematch press conferences, and even then it's not usual

then we have essien completely stupid sending off, then taking a trip to Africa, then he has toe injury and can't play in CL

Essien's red card was dubious as far as I saw, he was a vicim of his earlier reputation, but, that said, how does a trip to Africa and an injury translate into a "soap opera"?

drogs with malaria.......................never heard of a player anywhere contracting malaria, then he keeps playing (badly at that)

Because you have never heard of something does not mean that it doesn't exist - have you never heard of a player coming back from injury? And are you suggesting that Drogba should be dropped?

carlo denying he is leaving

You have said it yourself - the clue is in what you typed. Carlo (our manager, presumably) Denying that he is leaving. How much clearer do you need it to be? The only reason he had to issue that denial was because the media nuppets had started a fictitious story that he was.

nothing from roman at all

I have never heard or seen ANYTHING from Roman, either in the press or on television or radio about anything - Why is this different?

team worst performances since 1998

Other than Sunderland, name another "worst performance since 1998"

most shots in 1 game for 5 years, and not 1 goal

Most shots in one game appears to be a BAD thing, according to you. Not in my view it isn't

etc etc

:laugh2: thank you.

Also, Drogba playing horribly? Drogba shouldve had a hattrick inside of 30 minutes at St. Andrews. It was only the post and foster playing the game of his life that denied him it.

When you're hot you're hot, and when you're not you're not. The solid play is back the goals just need to get flowing again.

Sure it wasn't you who wrote it Chippy - it seems to have your very positive spin or Yorkley perhaps?!!!

It's good in parts and a lot I agree with - certainly the nonsense about Carlo being sacked (although I don't think many are suggesting that?).

But some of it is a bit too Chelsea the "club" and Carlo in particular propaganda for my liking. Don't get me wrong, I love Carlo and hope he's our coach for the next decade or so and he's allowed to build the next generation Chelsea. But of course we can question his substitutions when things don't go right. And we have every right to query a run of 3 defeats in 4 games - injuries or not.

And to bracket Hiddink with Grant & Scolari for not winning the league when he was only with us a matter of months and turned things around the way he did is just plain wrong.

I like a bit of balance in my articles!

That was a high quality article, and I love that the author has undone all these ridiculous arguments put up against Carlo. What he says about the class of sticking with a man that knows his stuff is so true. Carlo is the kind of personality who made himself a fixture at Milan with good results and stability, and I really really hope Roman sees that. Give the man the keys to the castle, let him pick the staff he wants within reason, and lets move forward with him.

The only part I disagreed with (not really a disagreement, but more of a difference of opinion) was on the squad size. Yeah, Chelsea need to get turnover and wages down to a level UEFA finds acceptable, but if wages are so high that only a short squad will do it for us, we need a serious review of how much some players are getting paid. Or we need to make do until turnover is up. Eitherway, its something I cant say with any certainty unless I had the club books in front of me.

Good point and I dont recall the last time we won a game after going a goal down this season. The point is very valid that his subs don't tend to work in games where we are a goal down - Inter in the CL last season and the games against City, Sunderland and Brums are an ample indicator to that. He generally takes off a midfielder to accomodate a striker which seems to back fire with us being stretched in the middle of the park and prone to a fast counter.

I wish I had have written it to be honest, I'd buy that man a pint.

A bit of balance would have Hiddink and Grant ahead of Scolari...Grant came in with the club around the same position as Hiddink did and had them end a place higher in the league, 2 cup finals one being CL and Hiddink had us 3rd with an FA Cup, whatever your view on the two men as Managers a balanced view would (imo) have them close on what they done here.

Carlo has just not had the players on the bench to change games, where possible he has started the best team and we have done well with it, if the best team falls behind its difficult to bring on a player not good enough to be first eleven to make a game changing difference...that at the moment has more to do with the squad and injuries than Carlos ability to change things.
