No for me, we have done good in the recent window and I would rather see Moses get a chance than sign hulk.

I'm with you. Moses has done well so far. Hulk would also cost a fortune, though if the problems remain he could cost less now than when we tried to get him.

Still, we have good players in that position, so why spend loads of money on him? I'd rather take Cavani.

I agree: Falcao, Llorente, Cavani or even Remy would be above Hulk for me. Lloretne & Remy would prob be best value, but Falcao the best option

I really do think we'll make a move for Falcao but can see us been priced out.

His buy-out clause is reportly between £45 and £47.5M. Hardly pricing us out.

If the buy out clause is that, that's obviously the only realistic price which I think IS worth it, he's unbelievable + they bought him 14 months ago for 30.

Falcao is an outstanding Cf but i would rather we sign an 'Aguero,Rooney,Tevez-like' striker though few strikers are in that mould. The only one to come in mind is Benzema.

Well we ll see how ambitious Sir Roman is in comparison to Man City...The club as a business cant afford him but will R.A gamble another big pile of cash of his own to make us probably unbeatable in the PREMIERESHIP, THE FA CUP, THE LEAGUE CUP and a major force in the EUROPEAN CUP

what kind of striker is that? what do aguero and tevez have that falcao doesnt?

Falcao is an out and out Cf were as these guys are second strikers and can play in the hole or on the wings with no difficulty. They are More versitile since they can play multiple forward positions

We're hardly in need in any of those other position though? We would hardly spend £50M on a striker and play him as a winger. Versatility is not an issue when buying strikers such as Falcao, Tevez or Torres even, when you plan for him to be the main man.

Going to follow AM for the rest of the season, mainly watching Falcao. Im not sure it's the best bit of business, he is a beast, but surely theres better value to be had. Anyone rate doumbia? Heard his name being mentioned quite a bit this year. Sturridge still deserves a chance as well.

I dont mean they should play on the wings, just spoting the difference between say a Falcao and an Aguero type.We definately need a Second striker like Aguero or Anelka.Note:not all games require a lone Striker eg vs Stoke.we could alter formations depending on opponents.Thats the reason DD and FT9 couldnt play together, they are lone strikers.

why in gods name would we need more attacking midfielders?!!!

Daniel Sturridge, Hazard Piazon and more than likely Mata/oscar are capable of playing behind the striker, and thats if Torres doesn't stay. Who generally tends to drop deep anyways.

sense, you make none.

what youre saying is we need a striker like aguero because he can also play on the wings, but we shouldnt play him on the wings. do you realize how idiotic this sounds?

Whats idiotic is when someone argues without actually reading or understanding my 1st post.Yes mata, hazard, piazon and oscar can play behind the main Cf but only as midfielders ie#10 not as a SST.A 20goal/season second striker like the afforementioned goes a long way in supplementing our main forward ie'Torres',relieve the goal scoring burden and is more than able to lead the line when called for in case of injuries, suspension, loss of form..etc.Remember Anelka, anyone??.Now,as much as you'ld love to hate it,Frankly none of Hazard,Mata,Piazon or Oscar are capable of that.Maybe Sturridge is that man.Unless you are suggesting to drop Torres out of the first 11 which i have absolutely no problem with and go for an Out and out CF like Falcao because honestly he wont win us the BPL title or retain us the UCL trophy with his rollercoaster form.

so what youre saying is, we need another starting AM. so who is getting benched? hazard? oscar? mata?!! when do moses and marin get a chance? we are ridiculously stacked at am position and youre suggesting adding another player there. dont quit your day job kid.

Point of correction.Im saying we need a starting center forward not a starting AM.I dont really mind if he plays behind Torres or play on for Torres. And if the transition goes on very well,Our current #10 'oscar' will be in the pivot before you know it.Mata and Hazard will always make it in the first 11.Marin from the word go was always a backup. As for Moses, thats why there is a word called rotation.

youre beyond thick. bringing in a striker to play alongside torres would make more problems than it would solve

what? youre gonna play oscar and ramires as 2 CMs with hazard, mata and 2 strikers in front of them? yeah, thatll work . . .

or youre gonna bench ramires?

Your preference was to bring in someone in the mould of 'Aguero,Rooney,Tevez-like' because they can play behind fernando, so who's place do they take? Mata? Our best chance creator? Hazard? The man on our team who can beat the full back? Or oscar? Well I don't need to explain, his performances speak for themselves. Don't be silly, if we're buying Falcao it's because he's going to be the main striker, if we bought any of the strikers you mentioned, it's to be the main man, the one guy up top, the goal scorer. Not to sit behind Torres, expecting him to finish, while Mata sits on the bench. I wonder do people really think things through before typing?

We could sit all day and discuss whether player X plays and player Y gets benched all day and still not come to a conclusion. As far as i remember,Lamps,Moses,Studge,Romeu,Marin,Azpi,Berty,Piazon,Ferreira,Turnbull and Cahill are all subs atm.Like i said,we could bench Torres since he's been on and off every second he touches the ball and i am totally ok with that too.So are you suggesting we dont need any reinforcements in the team since we got so many subs??

@damo my friend. The type of striker i prefer can also lead the line very well.Rooney last season had similar if not more goals than Falcao but he alternated from playing Cf and SST.get your facts straight. If we are playing teams that park the provebial bus eg Stoke,im ok with say benching Mata or Oscar and play say Tevez or Aguero.

They are subs because they have players ahead of them in their positions, not because we've altered our formation, to something that would make us lose key players. I never suggested we don't need re-enforcement up front, but we certainly don't need any help in the number 10/ second striker role. What we need is a goal scorer, like you say about Falcao, 'an out and out CF' as in your own words Torres has been 'been on and off'. Not someone who takes the position of someone who has been key to everything we've done over the past 12/14 months, and plays behind the person you describe as inconsistent.

Hmmm, maybe thats because they didn't have Kagawa? Like we have mata/Hazard.Oscar? Maybe now, just maybe it's because he at that time was their best option. He didn't even start last night, and when he came on he was on the wing, drifting in. Now playing second striker..

Me thinks it's you who 'get your facts straight'
