That player between Chopper Harris and Ray Wilkins may be Robert Prytz of Malmo, who signed for Glasgow Rangers in  1982.

I think you're right about it being Prytz. It would have been his first season at Malmo. He was a fine player at Rangers. Played in a good midfield alongside Jim Bett. I recognise the other person in the picture but for the life of me I can't put a name to the face.

@erskblue and @In the Net if okay, I'll post the picture on a Rangers group on Facebook and see what older Bears (Rangers fans) on there think about it being Prytz. Will report back.

I was watching 'I believe in miracles' the documentary about the amazing rise of Forest under Brian Clough, last night.

It showed footage, obviously, of their 1979 European Cup Final win v Malmo in 1979 .

A Final in which Prytz played. That's why I recognised him,

Magnus Andersson is the other player. He was No 5 in that 1979 Final, a centre back. Did some research,

I watched that the other day as well. Excellent documentary. I thought the Forest players came over really well (despite Woodcock's hair). It really was a miracle what they achieved under Clough and Taylor.

I was jealous as hell of their success, as we'd been a better team than them under Eddie Mac, and yet two years later they won the European Cup, while we went down. I went to watch us play up there when we were nearly doomed under Blanchflower. We lost 6-0.

The only players of theirs I really rated were Shilton, the Scottish trio Burns (he was incredible at CB), Gemmill and Robertson(amazingly skilful, overweight winger), Francis and Martin O'Neill. They had so many journeymen pros like Clark, Barrett, Lloyd, Needham, O'Hare, McGovern, Withe and Birtles, which shows what a miracle-worker Clough was - even though the players said he never really worked them hard in training and didn't give much thought to tactics.

A very good team. Agree with Backbiter. A few outstanding players but Cloughie and Taylor moulded the squad into a fine team with a good mixture of youth and experience. The Leicester City of their day? Clough did wonders with Robertson.

Yeah the Leicester City one, is probably the only comparison.

Forest title win was, in my opinion, a bigger surprise,

Remember, Forest were promoted behind us in 1976/77 and then were virtually unstoppable in winning the League in 1977/78.

I've got that documentary ear marked to watch in the coming days. There were quite a few good story's back in the day, Watford, Wimbledons and Swansea's rises to the top, Ipswich's winning FA cup and UEFA cup, Aberdeen winning cup winners cup and obviously Forest getting promoted, winning title following year, followed by two European cups, O and finally THAT team are back in Division 1

Villa in 1981 winning the League, followed by, amazingly the  European Cup and

Then then fading quite dramatically, was also a big surprise back then.

Ipswich Town were the 'team that never won a title' back then.

Yes was going to mention Villa but thought they were a bigger club than the others, That season Villa won the league, Ipswich beat them twice must messed up in last couple of weeks to hand Villa title, I can still remember so many of those two clubs players, ask me to name other  clubs players now and I wouldn't have a clue!!

Great footage. The D on the edge of the penalty box was added five years later.

This photo was captioned as the signs being added in German at Stamford Bridge. Maybe the Austria game, but I'm not sure that foreign fans travelled to away games, but maybe it was courtesy

Was at that game. A shame that the attendance was only just 8,000.  Eddie was goalie that day. Not sure why he's not in the picture. I did have a programme but gave it to one my cousins who is a season ticket holder at Rangers a few years ago. It would be great if the two teams played each other again. I went to the two friendlies at Ibrox in recent years and the atmosphere, especially that at the game in 2007 was excellent. If a game is played at the Bridge I'd receive loads of requests for tickets from friends and families.
