Seeing the bottom picture reminded me of a discussion I had with someone in my local pub a few months ago. His father owned the company which was asked by Ken to electrify the fence. Ken was asked by the owner if it was legal Ken said, go ahead and do it. As we know, the Council didn't allow the fence to be electrified. In the top picture, Ken is saying: "Give me a C."

Looks like the terrace was made smaller in order to accommodate the floodlight pylon, could also be in preparation for building the West stand, depending on when the picture was taken.

It was like that in the early sixties, must have lopped it off earlier I suppose.. They just remodelled the terracing for the new stand.
