Get behind the management i'm sure they know what there doing!

Im fed up with hearing spend spend spend from alot of you guys on here! Criticising the management well i'm sure they know what they doing and those of you who say we haven't got a chance with the squad we have!!!!!!!!!!!! Your a f**king joke because if we hadn't had our worst run in 15 years last season and injuries to key players we would have pissed the league!! At the end of the day the media has linked us to half the players in the world and people jump on the bandwagon. If the new manager wants a certain player then i am sure Roman would back him 100% and give him a blank cheque but what we forget is we have high earners on there last year of contract willing to see it out and move on a free so its nearly impossible to sell these players freeing up a place in the squad. until the transfer window closes i'm sure we will be working hard to find the right players at the right price. Bring on the new season and people remember to relax and have faith in the board!!

I agree..however...

if we hadn't had our worst run in 15 years last season and injuries to key players we would have pissed the league!!

That is pretty stupid don't you think? That's no different from saying "If we hadn't lost so many games and won more, we would have won the league". That's scouser-levels of ridiculousness.

No i don't so bite your tongue!! i'm saying we can win the league with these players that was an example. how very ridiculous!!

:106:

How many post before Spiller or somebody else starts going on and on about how we need a wingers desperately? I can't stand the people who are constantly criticizing every move or saying we need this of we won't be a better team. Get over it people. AVB knows what he is doing. Let me do his job.

I agree..however...

I disagree. It's not the same.

The difference is we were perhaps on the way to winning the league at the time after a fantastic start to the season, and for whatever reason (injuries, Wilkins, manager fallout etc) we capitulated. The league was their for the taking last season, we threw it away with 3 months of garbage.

Why do we even have a forum like this if we should just all hail AvB and the other people at Chelsea Football Club that have an influence on our sporting success?

Its all about stating a opinion and if we all had the same it would be pretty boring around here. Nothing wrong with doubting a decision even if its made by someone that should know better then we.

No it's not the same. There were reasons for the "bad moment", starting with the World Cup effect (see elsewhere), exacerbated by injuries and illness, not helped by the lack of depth of the squad, or by Ancelotti's unwillingness to take risks, his insistence on selecting players who were clearly unfit and/or out of form. This has also been covered in depth elsewhere.

Neither is putting faith in AVB equivalent (as mentioned elsewhere) to the scouseresque "in Rafa we trust" The difference here is that AVB has barely begun his career as Chelsea manager. So far he's presided over pre-season warm-ups, no more. "in Rafa we trust" was being spouted by scousers when the waiter was well into his managerial career - it could still be heard even in the weeks leading up to his sacking. Having a little trust in the new manager, on the other hand, is no more and no less than giving the man a chance, reserving judgement if you will.

I can't think of a reason why anyone can question the immediate management. AVB for me, was always the man for the

job given his record last season at Porto, his time previously at Chelsea and his likeness in terms of attention to detail

to that of Mourinho. Di Matteo and Holland are also great appointments.

What we must not be naive about however, is what other clubs are doing to improve before new legislation comes

into play and indeed the interference with the Chelsea Manager's role by those above in Roman's reign in the past.

I do not believe 'our squad' was good enough to win the league last season, the departure's and injuries just put

everything into prospective. The same happened to Man Utd when we won the league the year before, no Centre-Back

cover in depth cost them at a crucial time, who is to say Carlo wouldn't have won us the league if that wasn't rectified

pre-season?

Anyone can see AVB has identified the need for at least two more players. He said in a 'live' interview that even before

Essien's injury we were short in that department.

I believe we need a creative player and a wide right addition, but if we don't get them I really hope AVB gets the time to

create a dynasty at Chelsea. Can anyone feel certain this will happen - not a chance!

With you all the way, I think as BJD posted a little while back we are the luckiest fans in the world.

We did most of our buying in January when no one else did. If we were in for Torres and Luiz now, I think we would all be looking forward to the new season

I have all the faith in AVB. First manager since Jose who immediately gave you the vibe that he can do it.

But I fully understand why people are frustrated in the way we have been relatively quiet in the transfer window. I'm frustrated as well. You got a point there CBB but I sort of like being frustrated as it gives me reasons to post here. Off season is an interesting time especially for Chelsea fans. We can expect big names and we usually see some coming..and going.

The more I think of it you should cool down CBB! No no no. I meant you need to get frustrated like most of us constantly going through the rumours-page.

Okay, now to the rumours-page

Yep, let's see where we are in January, If the doom merchants are wrong then we won't need to splurge, and if they're right Roman won't risk us dropping out of the CL places.

That is assuming the Gaffer doesn't have ambitious plans before the closing of this transfer window!

So in your opinion, what exactly has the management done wrong so far this season, bearing in mind the signings we have made, the first pre season 3 new signings have had with us, new management just coming in and only now after a few weeks really knowing what kind of squad they have.

No offense but you are a real maniac... When did I say they made mistakes?

I just said that this is a forum to discuss Chelsea Football Club and not just to hail everything that the club does.

In my opinion its legit if someone states his opinion, no matter if positive or negative regarding the club.

A maniac? Delightful. Now you may not have said it in this thread, but you have been moaning and whinging in plenty of other threads about how badly the club have done with signings.

Yep, let's see where we are in January,

Absolutely. Not wise to judge the players by last season's performance. I suspect a few of them will find a new lease of life under AVB, and we'll be happy to hold on to them.

And what does that have to do with saying: "This forum is there to discuss CFC, negative opinions are just as legit as positive ones" ??

I was just asking your opinion on how the club management had done this pre season, which is what this thread is about, isnt it? You responded by calling me a maniac.

You responded to my post which was about the purpose of this forum by asking me what the club has done wrong. My quote and your answer dont have any connection to each other. All you wanted to do is personally attack me because you are obviously annoyed because I critsize some of the things that the club does. You call me one sided while you defend everything that the club does, If I am biased and one-sided in my opinions you are just the same.

How exactly was asking you a question a personal attack? I asked for your opinion, that was it.

We both know that it was meant as a personal attack, well covered I will give you that, but this was still not a geniue question.

Lets not pretent you care in the slightest about my opinion, you as a non-foreign fan are obviously thinking of yourself as something "better" then me, why would you even listen?

It was a question that was pertinent to the thread, thats it. You wanna see it a as a personal attack then thats not my problem. And I dont think anything of the sort of foreign fans, in fact I defended foreign fans in a thread not long ago saying they are as much a Chelsea fan as anyone.
