April 25, 201214 yr IMO this is the better match for us. I think we can manage the threat whilst having space to play some football. They do have pace and pose a massive threat on the wings but lets face it guys we could take on the bleeding German army and shut them down! THIS IS OUR TIME!
April 25, 201214 yr Rafinha: I remember him with Schalke04. Good going forward, but a mess when trying to defend (and he is a defender). Contento: Not impressed. Timoshuk: OK player, but not that great. I think Drogba will do fine against them.
April 25, 201214 yr Drugolyzer will boss these small guys around, no doubt. He SO wants that trophy. Ah, what a wonderful world.
April 25, 201214 yr As someone who knows zip about Bayern (other than Arjen is a-mazing) - is that like us losing Branna, Raul and Rambo? O We have better options! They got a big central defense problem now,Van Buyten is coming back maybe but it will be just on time or just not.And believe me it is better that he plays because it is the biggest belgian w**ker that we have in our red devils team. We call him "von blunder" , in english " von gaffe" , "von mistep" , "von lapsus" (thanks to google translate ). This is a list with very stupids misteps he has made in the nation team: (it is in flemisch, but you can see it ) * 07/09/02, België - Bulgarije 0-2 Big Dan laat zich als een miniem te grazen nemen. So If he is on,that we are in hugh advantage!Believe me.. April 25, 201214 yr Settling down now to enjoy the CL highlights on ITV - will be able to watch and appreciate the nicities rather than just making sure it stayed out and watching the clock.
April 25, 201214 yr going to be good! Home advantage ismassive, hopefully Uefa are fair with the tickets though. Any Munich fan trying to sit near me...well this aint rugby!!
April 25, 201214 yr Bayern may be at home but weren't we the first English club to win in The Mestalla? If I recall it was so good we did it twice..!
April 25, 201214 yr Without el clasico in between both legs, where both Barca and Real had to be at full-strength, it's very possible Real and Barca would have gone through. I'm happy it's Bayern because I didn't fancy facing Jose, and Real have a scary amount of firepower, however Bayern are really good and will be at home, so it's tough. It's bloody tough. Thankfully they have three players suspended, although we have four, and Rambo, Terry and Ivan are three of our best players. Edit: In the absence of Rambo, got a feeling Torres will start on the right. Edited April 25, 201214 yr by Davey Baby
April 25, 201214 yr I hope that Bayern does not get van Buyten back. He is a good defender, and big and strong.
April 25, 201214 yr I hope that Bayern does not get van Buyten back. He is a good defender, and big and strong. Believe me he is not! Big and strong yeah,ok.But stupid as the back of a pig.
April 25, 201214 yr Seems Bayern are favourites at the bookies which is suprising based on that performance. added bonus as we celebrate the win, quids in too
April 25, 201214 yr I don't think Bayern have much strength in depth so they will probably struggle replacing the players suspended with real quality. Whereas we have players like Essien and Luiz who will probably be filling in.
April 25, 201214 yr I agree Davey Baby. El Classico killed both teams for their CL chances. In another thread, someone mentioned van Buyten, who might be back from injury to play in the CL final. I hope not, as he is a very good, strong defender, who matches up well against Drogba.
April 25, 201214 yr Luiz Gustavo is their top Holding midfielder, Tymoshchuk is their back up whos is old and not that good. Same goes with Badstuber, he is their top defender and his replacement is van Buyten who in my opinion is as bad as it gets Alaba is also the first choice left back, meaning lahm will switch to left back as he was playing there for many years and rafinha will play right back Edited April 25, 201214 yr by eldakar

April 25, 201214 yr Poor Ronaldo. That was a well taken penalty at the end, but Neuer made an excellent one handed save.
April 25, 201214 yr I remember van Buyten being fairly good when he was with Schalke. Has he gotten bad over the past few seasons since then?
April 25, 201214 yr Yeah, Real just looked totally spent. Credit to Barca that they seemed to have a lot of energy, but just could not score against us.
April 25, 201214 yr I agree Davey Baby. El Classico killed both teams for their CL chances. It was an incredible coincidence the way it worked out. That that game should fall on the date it did, with both of them in separate semi-finals, and both of them vying for the title. The fact that Barca lost also worked in our favour, and the fact our game was on the Tuesday, giving them a day's less rest. It was a very intense el clasico, as they all are, and I'm very happy it took place when it did. I bet Bayern are too.
April 25, 201214 yr Robbie should be sitting Drogba down and making him watch his Moscow sending off clockwork orange style until matchday. We are weaker on paper with crippling suspensions but the pain of that match particularly for Drogba gives me hope that with one last chance, such is the mentality of some of our guys that we might get a win.
April 25, 201214 yr I remember van Buyten being fairly good when he was with Schalke. Has he gotten bad over the past few seasons since then? Did he played at shalke? he played around 2001 at standard (his top year) and moved to marseille if im not wrong. He had his moment, became famous and the moment was gone. Believe me he can be a big help,If we can block him at the corner(thats his only good thing, sometimes)
