Mod
Blimey, this surprised me! I remember seeing him on an interview after we won the double with Carlo, and Ray said he doesn't touch drink at all. Times must of changed. http://www.bbc.co.uk...ngland-16986376

Zeta
There's no excuse for it. If you get behind the wheel when you are drunk, you are endangering the lives of other people. Doesn't matter what your reasons are.

moi
What a problem this is causing me! I do not know what the correct abstract noun from "judgemental" is. Is there a wrod "judgementalness"? or "judgementality"? We know very little about this case. Only the bare bones appear in that article. I would want to know : 1. Who was he drinking with? 2. Why did nobody prevent him from driving home? 3. If he was drinking alone, and given that Mod (who knows everything) has told us that until very recently he did not drink, WHY was he indulging in bouts of solitary drinking. On a different note, he was stopped in Fairmile Lane Cobham, which is just off the A3 - and taken to REIGATE police station????? ARe there really no police stations between Cobham and Reigate? We all know it is wrong to drink and drive. When we are sober we don't need to be told that. But with alcohol in the brain people sometimes do silly things. Let us not all leap to condemn. I belive the line goes "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and "Judge not lest ye be judged!" shedpensioner
Yeah, tell that to these kids parents http://www.dailymail...kend-trips.html I'm not condoning his actions, I'm just not jumping up and down on the man! All we know is what has been reported in the press, none of us know the facts! EDIT: also what the fark has that case got to do with Ray Wilkins?? It's tragic but not to do with this particular case! Zola
Also for all we know he could have had two pints. If yu are over the limit by the tiniest of fractions it is still called drink driving. I would be very surprised if he had drank a lot of vodka and went for a cruise.

It was an example of what drink driving can do, it was the first link that came up, unless you've been effected yourself, you haven't a clue of how insensitive and stupid your comment was. Now I'm not wasting another word on this post. If you drink and drive, you are a c**t, simple as. EDIT----- Don't want to fall out with you buddy, you are one of the good guys, it's just a touchy subject for me. shedpensioner
Seven, I'm not condoning his actions but as someone else has stated he could of had 2 pints for all we know, in fact he could only have had a glass of wine with his dinner and still been over the limit! My mate got banned for a pint and a half and this was back in the early nineties when the limits were higher! As you said don't want to fall out, just that everyone should know the facts before leaping all over the man, and also that no-one here is an innocent person who has never done any wrong!
