How he organised the guard of honour at the end for the Bayern players and embraced Schweinsteiger at the end was extremely dignified of him. The Bayern players and fans were very grateful for it. I'm pretty sure that Cech got a hand to the ball just enough to divert it towards the post. I think it would've gone in without Big Pete.

Yes, I think that's true - and I'm sure the commentator mentioned it too.. I watched it three times - once in real time, then again in Highlights then again on ITV1 + 1 highlights, so I should have remembered that!

..but I'm quite old and I forget things sometimes...

Let's be realistic, General. As a 33-34 year old, it only makes sense that Lamps plays 2 out of every 3 games, or something like that; otherwise, he will be a wreck by the end of the season. I also expect him to be subbed out of many games that he starts, to lessen the wear-and-tear on him.
