Hi, hope its ok to post on here, im a watford fan and as you are aware we are having an amazing season under zola, the best football i have ever seen and im in my 40s ,

Nathaniel Chalobah has been sensational for us and we are so desperate to keep him untill the end of the season as we need him , we are at home to charlton on tuesday and thats the last game under his loan agreement, do you think there is a possibility chelsea will let us have him for the season or could you see him going somewhere else, as its zola we are hoping and admit praying this will help us, cheers for feedback

Second Watford fan in a week to come here and sing his praises.  He must be doing something right.  I don't know how they decide on where our loans go, but I'm sure Zola has enough pull to make it happen provided he and Nathan are happy to.

I hope the club let him stay, with an option to bring him back if we get major injuries. Thought he bossed it vs Brighton

I see no reason why Chalobah wouldn't finish the season with Watford. Given how well he's playing under someone we're very familiar with it would make no sense to bring him back to play for the reserves. I don't rule us out bringing in a CM for the first team as cover because Mikel is at the ACON and Romeu is out for the season, but I see it more likely that we just ride out January with Ramires, Lampard, Luiz and Oscar in an emergency as our CM's.

 

In short, I don't think you've got anything to worry about.

Who knows for sure what the board is thinking or what they will do? Look no further than the Lampard situation and you will see that our board is sh*t! How about this, you keep Chalobah for the remained of the season and send us Zola instead. In return you can have Rafa!

DoubleHelix74 keep him lol  no way are we letting zola go never in a million yrs. im a season ticket holder and from the first match when i thought we were poor and had poor players he had changed things in his own time, left players out bought in new ones changed positons etc, always play the ball out from defence and never just hoof it up field,, it honestly is a pleasure to turn up and watch our football it really is that good on the eye, funny thing is his only bad or average signing is almunia in goal, he is sh*te

That cannot be a surprise to you if you saw any of his Arsenal games.

 

Loan Jamal Blackman he would do much better for you. And keep young Chalobah as well, no better person any player could learn from than Franco.

Zola deserves better than to work for, and get treated poorly by, the current "board" of our club.

Delighted to hear he's playing so well! He's not going to be getting much game time if he comes back now, so it would make sense for him to go back.

 

That being said, we are Chelsea.

This is the problem our much-maligned board has - Frank is still too good to let go - if he wasn't Chalobah would be looking at a probable starting place here a lot earlier than most of us thought possible. If Frank stays, and most of us want him to, Nathaniel will have his return delayed. He then starts getting restless, especially if Watford don't get promotion, then the criticism starts up over our young players not making the breakthrough.  At the moment we have David Luiz playing in a similar role with more bite and less finesse and comparisons are bound to be made at the highest level at Chelsea. Having seen Chalobah against Brighton, getting MOTM as well, I was very impressed, but not surprised. Also, we need a stronger home grown element in our first team squad, so I'd say you've got him to the end of the season, then he's back for good. Enjoy!   

I think he will be back in january. Mikel is gone to Africa and we will need him if you ask me.
