Spurs.

Let's just get them out of this competition, couldn't stomach them winning anything, let alone this, and going

on to compete in the Super Cup.

I was gonna say anyone but Spuds, would rather they just get the hardest draws possible and hopefully someone else knocks them out, because i'm not entirely confident we would beat them.

If I had to order my preferences

Basel

Newcastle

Benfica

Rubin

Fenerbahce

Lazio

Spuds

Really any of those top 4 i'd be happy with provided we don't have our away leg in that week where we play 4 games in 8 days. I think Spuds and Lazio are the teams to beat and would be delighted if they got drawn together, and I don't really fancy a trip to Turkey as it's always an incredibly difficult and intimidating place to go to.

That being said I also don't fancy a trip to Rubin who knocked Atletico out and who are even more east than Moscow. A trip to Rubin or Turkey in that 4 games in 8 days period would be brutal.

So yeah, any of those top 3 will do me.

Basel

Rubin

Lazio

would be fine for me...

Think it is important that spurs also has to play european as long as possible for tiering them out aswell. If they'd only have to focus on the PL it could get a tough run...

I have said spurs..( but ) i must say i fear them at the moment......They are arguably on form, the top team in that last bunch...I feel they are the only ones to really bother us.....This could well be our trophy....

I don't care who we get. I just want to win this thing (while maintaining 4th or better in the league obviously).

Bring them on.

OH goodness......How easy for HAZARD MATA n co is that...OH ...I thought you were telling me we got BENFICA...My bad

Regardless who we get, pray we get a home first leg, because we have a game on the Saturday (Southampton), Monday (United), Thursday (Europa) and Sunday (Sunderland), 4 games in 8 days.

If we have to go away to Turkey or Russia in that period, lol.

We're not f**king around with the away trips this season...

Dare I mention we play Spuds at home less than 3 days after our away tie.

They won the league a couple of seasons ago as I recall, I also seem to remember Martins playing for them. They have Salomon Rondon, M'Vila and our very own Gokhan Tore on their books. I would imagine they will be the best side we have faced so far in the Europa League and we're certainly going to need a convincing home leg victory to go through.
