I'm very glad Joffrey died, he got what was coming to him. Tywin also deserved it, Cersei should be next! I wish Daenerys would just invade. I'm glad Tyrion got away though I think it was obvious he would. Jon Snow is pretty awesome. I was gutted about Jorah, he seemed to be one of the few morally unambiguous characters - he was always good. I hope Daenerys forgives him, I think he'll find his way back to her somehow. I'm finding Sansa as boring as ever. I somehow knew Shae would betray Tyrion but didn't think she'd die, oh well. My ideal future would be Jon Snow being King and Daeneyrs Queen but that obviously won't happen.

I've probably come out with a load of crap that won't happen as I haven't read the books. I'm halfway through the first one but finishing season four has inspired me to carry on with it as I haven't read it for a while.

This needs tl be released on Netflix, such good reviews but I haven't got Sky and DVDs too expensive for something I'd watch once.

It must be good if South Park did a parody.

Watch once??/ I have watched it three times already from beginning to end!  Dying for the next Season to start.  Andreas sent me a link to it (I don;t have Sky either) But having seen it, thanks to Andreas, I then ordered the DVD as soon as it came out.  I spend very little money on some things, but DVDs are my weakness!

Will that link work when Season Five starts on the 12th April, Richard?

I'm not sure, I watched them all after Season Four had finished. They'll definitely be available somewhere on the web, I'll have to find somewhere myself.

If you do find one, would you be an absolute darling and PM it to me?   :kissass:

Not for poor pensioners who don;t have SKY!!

We don't have Sky, we have a gadget that plugs into the tv, chromecast, Gem suggested Now tv. Not sure how it all works, but it does.

I have never heard of it, and I think it might not work in France.  Is it called "Chromecast"?  What sort of shop would I buy it in? Presumably they could tell me of it would work in France...

..and is it reasonably priced?

Our chromecast thingy was free with our broadband, there was a chromecast thread, but I didn't understand it! I'm sure one of the tech savvy folk here could help you, or there's this for going on with

Apparently it's available in France.

So... does that mean that I buy the Dongle thing for 30 pounds, then plug it into my TV and the SKY Channel becomes available?  Sorry, I know I sound thick, but that;'s because I am thick where things like this are concerned!

Will a menu come up giving me a choice of channels?

I think so Moi, but I am a Luddite. Thanks to Gem I watched footie that usually I would have watched in the pub. There does seem to be a fair amount to watch via Now tv but not as much as Sky, I think that's right.

Thanks, Droogba.  I will have to go into a shop and put on my pathetic old lady act.  I won;t tell them I'm a Luddite because they won't know what that means!

You've got the right idea, the way it works is a bit different though. Just think of Chromecast as a neat way of displaying media from your tablet/smart phone/computer on your TV. So If you have the BBC iPlayer, Sky (aka "NowTV") or Netflix apps installed on your tablet or phone, you can just press a button inside the app and it will magically send whatever you're watching to the TV. Its dead easy to set up and I think well worth the money. I got bought mine on impulse when it was on sale for 18 quid and use it every single day.

Chromecast works like a charm. But does anyone know how to get popcorn time to work with it?

Btw moi, I checked and so far all GOT episodes are on there. Popcorn time is an easy download, took me about 3 mins and it allows you to steam (so not download) an awful lot of films and series. It's all very easy.

I use it with Popcorn Time quite often and it works fine. Do you have an up to date version of the app? I think the Chromecast option was only enabled for me after I manually updated the app.

Alternatively, if you get a Now TV box or already have a games console, you won't need one. Is that right Dave? Asking for myself!

I think so. The NowTV boxes look quite good value actually and also have youtube, iPlayer channels etc as well. I almost bought one but decided to get a Chromecast because it can be used with services that will never be available via NowTV (see my reply to CFCHolland, for example). I 'd be surprised if NowTV apps aren't already available on consoles. I only have a PS3 but I'm pretty sure it's on there.

I've just remember something since replying to your post - the NowTV service (as far as I know) is only available in the UK...

Finished season 1 last night. Unbelievably underwhelming finale although in general it's been good enough to keep me going onto the next season.

Boobs.

The further you progress the less boobs you'll see. At least that's how I remember it.
