Nor for poor Podrick! The Lady Stoneheart story was a trifle implausible (unlike everything else! )

Lost didn't have an end in mind by all accounts. Game of Thrones does and the showrunners are aware of what it is. Be an interesting experiment to see a tv show have to reach it's conclusion before the source material on which it was based does.

Won't they just wait for the last books? I thought the next one was due soon and would be a 1500 page one good for at least two seasons.

No they've said they're just going to continue going and in all likelihood finish before Martin does. So now those book readers who knew what was going to happen will be trailing behind the show watchers. 

Think this will be the best season yet, mostly because I have no idea what's going to happen in some character stories.

 

This scene was incredible, mostly because it's not in the books, and it touches on part of the plot we have no idea what's going to happen.

They had the scene where Dani 'sold' her Dragon for the unsullied army...then the Dragon turned on its new owner and bbq'd him....higher than the scene of the fight between The Mountain and Prince Oberyn...

I saw that show. Enjoyable to watch but didn't think much of the order! Dany walking into the fire was really high which I didn't think was that shocking; thought it was pretty obvious what was going to happen.

So i recently found out that the whole castration and complete reprogramming to reak never happened in the books. It's actually the bit I normally fast forward as the whole thing makes me want to vomit. (Credit to the acting)
