    Belgium.

    Belgium is certainly not the most beautiful country, Spudulike. But it's good living in Belgium. Easy living.Good drinks. Good food. Nice places. A lot of activity. Friendly people with lot of respect for their visitors. Belgium is 'hip'! :wink: Have you got him. 'Hip'? And humour. Just like England, we have won a lot of Golden Roses of Montreux for our sense of humour!

     

    It depends what you want, Spudulike. We don't have Madamme Tussauds or clogs or pyramids, but we have indeed a war history. Brussels by night is exciting. We have nowadays a good national football team. You can eat some really 'Belgian fries' in Belgium! With mayonaise. Indeed! We have a cafe with 3000 different beers and that's a worldrecord! In Louvain. I like Louvain, myself! From Belgium it's easy to visit some other cities in other countries  and come back. Our service is well known! And! We have a sinner's day. Yes! We have a sinner's day!

    Halloween.

    It seems, the hype from the last ten years is over. I don't know if it's the economic crisis or the fact that we don't have a really halloween tradition. But it was and still is very calm. A few houses are decorated and that's it. There were no funny things in the shops and the only halloween fact I have seen today was The SpursTV on our Belgium TV  with a funny and cool Jan Vertonghen in a halloween act. That was good humour. But there are no good times for spooks and zombies in Belgium at this moment. No way.

     

    Allerheiligen.

    That's tomorrow. I don't know of this excists in the UK. It's a kind of memory day. Always on the first of november. And that day we remember our dead. Also a very commercial day, indeed but traditionally also a sad day with awful weather, a lot of rain and wind. Strange.

     

     

    So. Don't forget. If you ever visit Belgium. Everything, except the restaurants and the pubs are closed on the first of november.
