There is a handy thing called Google. I realise its not that well heard off and is only a small company worth around 8 Billion pounds but it might be worth looking on there.

Hostels are the way forward for short visits.

They have a bad stereotype. 

 

I've stayed in quite a few across the world when I travelled and they are simply amazing. Remember when you were younger and you went to a PGL or an activity weekend with the school? Running around the dorms, going to peoples rooms, playing games, watching films with mates, being mischievous. Only difference is, now you go into each others rooms, drink tequila, play poker and f**k. 

 

Cleanliness can be a slight issue in some of the toilets but they're a lot better than most public toilets. 

I've stayed in a couple of a hostels, one for stag do in Amsterdam, considering the amount I was drinking that weekend I didn't care where I slept plus the bar had a buy one get one free happy hour which was brilliant.

 

Stayed at another in Dublin as well which was bang in the middle of the city centre and cheap as chips too.

Look for anywhere named "Paddy's Irish Bar" proclaiming to sell a "traditional English roast".

Google is a silly name. Lougal is much better. This wont make sense unless you have seen Hot tub time machine.

Actually the name is misspelled on purpose, it references to googol (10¹⁰⁰). Which is silly because the term was coined by the mathematician's nephew, a 8 (or 9, or around that) years old boy.
