Was just about to post exactly that Just.  Just got to number 50.  Can you imagine just how good the current team would be if we had a striker of that pedigree up front. 

Imagine how many would have won by Lozzer if he was up front tonight.

Not to mentioned not dropping points last week!

 

OK it isn't quite as straight forward as that but you have to bear in mind that it wasn't just the goals he scored, it was the fact that he terrorised defenders meaning it was far harder for teams to park the bus.  There was always two players keeping an eye on him which created space for others.

You do forget how many genuinely high quality goals he scored. Some of them literally out of nowhere.

My personal all time fave was the bullet header he stuck past Oliver Kahn from Joe Cole's pinpoint cross against Munich in the CL at their old Olympic Stadion ground. I was at the game and remember Kahn never even moved, the header was that powerful.

Favourite Drogba goal - now that is a tough call.  The turn and swivel shot against Liverpool with Carragher at his back must rank right up there for me.  

Com'on folks join in. Don't leave Loz and me sitting here at a table for two.

Last kick in Munich or if that doesn't count his header to take it to ET.

I'm a huge fan of the 1 against Spurs in the FA cup as it is him at his purest. Hopeful longball from the deep, gets pushed away from goal yet nearly breaks the net. So beast.

The goal vs Everton.. Amazing.

Had to laugh watching it as they showed a few of his goals against Le Arse. After one strike the commentator said;

"and Drogba continues his personal vendetta against Arsenal"

Number one goal has to be the one that tied the game in Munich.

In that second, I forgot about every single problem I ever had in my life.

And to do that for someone is really special.

Everton away to make it 3-2.

Barcelona at home to make it 1-1, a repeat of the the swivel + shot he scored against Liverpool and in the face of all those who claimed it was a fluke

its on sky demand if any one hasnt seen yet.

It's not a goal but his one man destruction of Liverpool including embarrassing hypia with that flik.. is that the best performance of a striker that didn't actually score in a game ever?

Munich Equalizer for me. Love the Drog. If he were still with us we would have been  at least 6 points clear at the top. 

His performance against Wet Spam in 2006 remains the greatest all-round centre forward display I have ever seen in my life. I doubt I will see better.

 

 

We were wobbling in the title race at that point and went a goal down and had a player sent off. Drogba single-handedly turned the game that day and put our title bid back on track.

The chest down and half-volley on the turn against Liverpool was pretty ridiculous. I don't have to post the video. You all know the one I'm talking about.
