Backing the Black Cats

For family reasons, I am going for Sunderland tomorrow morning (I say tomorrow because I am in Australia). Also, I love a good upset, nothing against Manchester City, I actually have a good deal of respect for it. Anyone else backing the Black Cats?

It would be great, from the point of view of backing the underdog, to see Sunderland beat city. Can it happen? Yes - it's one game and there's no pressure or expectation on Sunderland. That could count for a lot.

Sunderland all the way for me.  Unless we are playing in a final I always like to see the underdog win (bar a few exceptions - West Ham, QPR, Tottenham!) and I personally don't have the same level of distaste for Gus as some Chelsea fans do (although I understand why they do).  Nothing against City who I don't have anything against, just think it would be nicve for the Sunderland fans who are a decent bunch in large, and also City have bigger targets now.

Won't lose any sleep if Citeh win but it's nice to see a different team have a bit of success (except when they're playing us of course) and I like Gus, so Sunderland.

As per usual will be going for the underdogs but as Englishman said, I wouldn't be particularly bothered if City win.

Not a hope for Sunderland I'm sorry to say. They have a good record against City, but in a cup final it will count for nothing, and City won't lose 2 easy cup finals in a row.

Not one English player playing for city

Now watch as no one in the media will mention that and it's a ENGLISH cup final! Yet when we did it for one league game back in what, 1999...it's never forgotten.

Anyway, congrats, City. Bad luck, Sunderland. That was a first half to remember. Shame you couldn't quite hold on.
