Oh my goodness, I have just witnessed the most absurd penalty ever given. An Elche player cleared the ball out of the box and, I guess the top of his boot nicked Marcelo as he brought it back after kicking the ball (this is me trying to be kind to the referee). Marcelo fell over and a penalty was given.

 

These La Liga officials are crap. I hope we don't get any in Europe this season.

It wasn't the midfield but it was outside the box....maybe 30 yards out.
