Considerably, I also would not call it a masterpiece, but the result is acceptable. I don't think Citeh dominated for 90 minutes either.

After Chelsea went ahead, they experienced a chance to kill the game, Costa in particular but...

It's not the penalties given that I perceive of the ref's bias towards United, but how few were given to opposing teams at OT under Ferguson. I'm sure we all remember Keane, Stam etc chasing the ref round the pitch for having the audacity to award a spot kick to the opposition. They were terrified of the wrath of Ferguson

Glad I read this first as it was exactly what I was about I say. Ferguson very clearly held a massive sway over the FA, and who officiated at OT.

Debucy out for 3 months.

Oh Arsenal...

It's always been against us though. People have this mad idea that United get all the decisions when that's never been the case. Go look up who's gotten the most penalties over the PL's history. You won't find United at the top, instead you'll find Liverpool followed by Arsenal.

Has it bollocks always been against you.

In the past decade United have had some of the worst decisions I have seen go for them not to mention the crazy amount of late goals they got from stoppage time which was clearly exaggerated.

You can’t blame the ref for losing a game 5-3 when it was at 3-1 he gave that call.

Your team are powder puff, no soul…no heart just 11 individuals some of which are hugely talented but as a team you are a joke.

Buying success was always something United fans used to throw at Chelsea and City supporters but look at you now…throwing the best part of £200 million in two seasons trying to claw your way back to where the big boys are with very little success. It will take another £100 million no doubt to beef up the defence and midfield to a level where you won’t turn to jelly against a team who can attack you.

It’s great to watch though, United are the new Liverpool.

I wouldn't exactly call that a Jose masterclass.. We were dominated from start to finish, even with 10 men they were better than us. We were lucky to get a point.

Chelsea had same game-plan as seven months ago and once again citeh were found wanting...yes they had a lot of the ball but how many saves did courtois make? One...they negated our counter much better, yet it took super frank and our players switching off to nick a point...we weren't brilliant, but it was pretty much job done

With constant and flagrant fouling that could easily have resulted in more red cards. It's no wonder they don't fare as well in Europe where the referees are generally stricter.

RE the game yesterday it certainly wasn’t a master class and we were lucky to still be in it after half time tbh.

We got lucky and grinded it out then struck with our first real dangerous moment, before that we offered nothing and were dire to watch I thought. After the goal we reverted to type and still got dominated even with a man extra.

A point is a good result especially given how we played but I’d expect a Mourinho side to be able to hold a 1-0 lead especially with a man advantage.

While I do agree it was not a master class I don't agree that we were lucky to be in at a halftone. For all City's dominance they didn't really create much and I can't think of any clear chances for them.

Good points. It's an argument that's lost on a lot of utd fans though a they'll claim that they've 'earned' that moment and are entitled to spend it, rather than us and city being 'kept a float by dirty money from dirty owners' etc

5-3 - bad result;

5-3 - to Leicester...LEICESTER!?? Ha, ha.

I thought the 4-0 win vs qpha was the start of something special  btw spudz losing to WBA is funnier :face_palm:

I can't talk about that...WBA were tricky (honest) and we were sadly useless in front of goal. Hard times! :-(

At the very start of the season, I thought your side would finish ahead of le arse. Then the transfer window came & your side did the usual bend over for lpuke. Now that claim is in jeopardy. IMHO sell Walker & start using Yedlin. I know the dude is raw, but your side can make a quick buck & replace Walker w/ someone that I feel has more upside. Checkout this play where Yedlin caught up & took the ball away from a would be attacker (btw this was just last week in the US Open Cup Final)

sorry for my ignorance, but I always thought Lineker was a spud through & through. Is he a Fox at heart?

He was born in Leicester, came through their youth system and played for them for 7 years before going to Everton and only then to Spurs.  Leicester has always been the team he's passionate about.

Edited - I just checked on Wiki - I'd completely forgotten he'd gone to Barca between Everton and Spurs!  I was thinking that was afterwards.

I only know about him being a spud & an England National Player. I never really paid attention to his history. Thanks for the lesson.

Rodgers says new signings are struggling to get to grips with size of the club

What a bell end he is.

You're welcome!  I've always really liked him - comes across as a really nice bloke, he's almost exactly my age (a year older) and his kids are about the same age as mine.  I remember when his son was diagnosed with leukaemia - always seems to hit harder when your own kids are the same age. And I like the way he takes the piss out of himself.

But a long way behind Jose of course!

Yedlin looks good but i don't think he's yet with us, despite signing. I think he will be with us in 2015 at the earliest. I don't know why we accepted that delay, tbh.

Edit - v impressive pace there!

actually lol'd at that. Surely he's not thinking of this bollocks himself

He knows how to play the lunatic Liverpool fans, they will be all over that kind of sh*t and love him for it.
