June 6, 201511 yr Rubbish. We the fans are conned out of hundreds of pounds every year to watch football. Even the CL is getting taken away from us after more than 2 decades of being free to watch (one game a week) on free to view TV. I've got an android box and I think you will find its perfectly legal, I'll be streaming football for free as I have done for a few years. If you don't like it fine but taking the moral high ground when tv company's stab fans in the back is absurd! Conned ? How, exactly, are you conned ? Yes, it used to be free ( well, £60 a year or whatever your TV license fee was ), you are right. But it was sh*t then was'nt it ? The only games you ever saw were the final and a semi if an English club happened to reach that far. As far as streaming is concerned , I think you and Bobby ( who seems to agree with you ) need to do some research on what is legal or not because I am telling you it isn't - it's unlicensed and therefore not. It's nothing to do with moral high ground , I don't walk into Tescos and take what I like because it is too expensive.
June 6, 201511 yr I've got an android box and I think you will find its perfectly legal, I'll be streaming football for free as I have done for a few years. It definitely isn't. Look, I think we all have sympathy with the tough economic climate and the escalating cost of watching football (something not helped by OFCOM breaking up the packages to avoid a monopoly which actually made it more expensive for viewers) but is it actually fair that some of your fellow fans are essentially subsidising you watching the game on your stream? But fairness is subjective. Each of us has a different opinion and being told to f**k off if you disagree is a little beyond the pale.

I don't disagree with it because Sky, BT etc are charging a fortune for it. I think aswell piracy is a very fine line, I don't think it's as cut and dry as walking into Tesco and stealing something. It's a very different thing.

If we all took this stand that we won't pay and will just go to illegal streaming sites, then the would be zero revenue for Sky or whoever and no champions league coverage at all ( or we could end up back in the days where very few games were covered). It's easy to complain but the fact is there is an infinite amount more football available to watch live now than there used to be. If people do want to be selective then they have TVNow and can buy on demand.
June 6, 201511 yr Oh look, blue daze backing crem and crem backing blue daze ...almost as if.....no....he wouldn't....would he?

I think aswell piracy is a very fine line, I don't think it's as cut and dry as walking into Tesco and stealing something. It's a very different thing. It's no different at all. The only difference is how difficult it is to track and prosecute. Theft is theft. You could argue that it is not the same because someone else ( the host site) is doing the stealing and all you are doing is watching what they have stolen, but that is the same as someone else doing the stealing from Tescos and you then taking those goods knowing they are stolen. It's still illegal. There is no grey area here, only in people's understanding of the law,

June 6, 201511 yr Oh look, blue daze backing crem and crem backing blue daze ...almost as if.....no....he wouldn't....would he? Pretty sure I agree with other people and other people agree with me all the time. If you've got something to say dfs then just spit it out.
June 6, 201511 yr Oh look, blue daze backing crem and crem backing blue daze ...almost as if.....no....he wouldn't....would he? And, of course, if you had your wits about you you could easily find out our IP addresses and find we are in different locations. Just because we both happen a semblance of intelligence doesn't mean we are the same people ;)
June 6, 201511 yr I disagree completely, you can't compare watching something online to someone physically stealing something. Yes. Yes, you can. You just need to understand the law.

He's still sharing the dial-up connection with his sister.

June 6, 201511 yr Laughing at you two f**kwits. You should invite the whole family - your mum, sister, aunt. Just pull up an extra chair. Maybe it's hypocritical but if you want to have a pop then why not have a pop back? Edited June 6, 201511 yr by Blue Daze
June 6, 201511 yr Many people get confused between downloading (which is illegal) uploading copyright material (which is illegal) copying and selling material (which is illegal) and streaming-watching without downloading WHICH IS LEGAL !!. The MX Box does not download, upload, copy or store any Media and in fact has no connection or association with the sites that host (store) any media. The MX Box simply connects to sites and temporarily streams the data. The data (Movies or TV shows etc.) passes through your internet cables, through the MX Box to your TV and watched by you but is never stored, copied or retained. It's a grey area. According to the FACT (Fedoration Against Copyright Theft) website, as you are not paying for access to content or downloading the content, the law is a bit sketchy. But ask yourself this, you're watching content online that you would normally pay for, do you think it's legal or illegal? Android TV Boxes do not provide nor control the content, we simply install the Open Source software, XBMC/Kodi on your behalf. Your ISP will prevent you from accessing a couple of plugins, which we do not install and therefore your ISP (Internet Service Provider) will not detect you are watching said content. Android TV Boxes do not agree with or promote the illegal streaming of unpurchased content. By agreeing to watch the content via XBMC, you agree that you have the appropriate license to watch such content, either by owning a copy of the film or TV shows. Android TV Boxes do not accept any responsibility for users streaming content that they do not own a license for. So no it's not illegal. The BT guy who fitted my infinity even said everyone should have one as they are great gadgets. I wonder why he didn't report me... But I'm sure you know best....

Sorry, I really do not know whether to laugh or cry. It is not a grey area at all, stop thinking that. You are consuming something you are not entitled to consume because the provider is providing it unlicensed. The BT guy who fitted your infinity does not know the law either. I once had a BT guy try to sell my hooky aftershave. You do know Android is an OS don't you ? I'm puzzled as to why you keep telling me what OS your hardware is running ?
June 6, 201511 yr Bobby. Seriously, do some research and stop agreeing blindly with people who know no more than you do.
