June 3, 201511 yr I personally think the Top 4 will be like the old days from next season with Man City trading places with Liverpool. I can't see any other team in the Prem League challenging Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal or Man Utd to the 4 places now. Chelsea will be even better next season - you've got the best manager in the league and you'll definitely add 1 or 2 players to improve the squad. City have the cash and will improve the squad, which is getting old now. They still have world class players in Aguero (who is the best striker in the league for me) and the magician who is Silva. Arsenal are much better and have the stadium income like ourselves plus Wenger actually signed players like Sanchez last season who has been superb. And there there's my team, United - we're going to be bringing in 3 or 4 new players next season and hopefully 1 or 2 world class ones. Van Gaal is huge on 'balance' so we'll be better next season although losing De Gea will hurt us. Who is going to challenge? Liverpool? They're keeping Brent who couldn't organise a defence if his life depended on it. Plus, in my opinion, they have a pretty average squad of players. Spurs are Spurs. Southampton are too small a club to challenge the Top 4 although I admire what they did last season. Edited June 3, 201511 yr by RAWK Meltdown
June 3, 201511 yr Jack Wilshire is the Kim Kardashian of football. Extremely rich and famous but nobody really knows why. Always in the headlines but almost never for his actual football. RM went with Rafa because he is a proven CL winner who is happy to be a seat warmer until someone better is available. Emphasis on the latter part of the sentence. All hail the interm one! June 3, 201511 yr Think the FA are slightly over-zealous in charging Wilshere. Not his biggest fan but it was a party atmosphere with his supporters.
June 3, 201511 yr I would say it would be more appropriate to remind him of his responsibilities, rather than a charge, but apparently he did the same thing last year and they did just that.
June 3, 201511 yr His responsibilities are to the fans first and foremost though isn't it? Maybe that's a little old-fashioned but seeing a player having a proper connection with the supporters isn't the worst thing in the world. Maybe the 'think about the children' brigade will disagree and the FA clearly do, but I think we're creating this weird gap between the supporters and their clubs.

June 3, 201511 yr I'd love to know where all that money from FA fines go. Manager outbursts are in the tens of thousands etc. Are there any websites with that specific info? I wouldn't have thought so... seems a little corrupt like FIFA! I think the fines are relatively modest and obsolete as they were designed for wages of a much lower proportion. It's not a weeks work or more any longer but sometimes just a few hours wages. If one person collects all those fines he'd probably be one of the worst paid players in any of the top 4 teams. I should hope the money is reinvested in youth football at a grass roots level or charities and if so, I would strongly encourage revamping fines so they are more hefty ( and ideally a sort of progressive tax style system where top earners feel the pinch same as low earners but the latter aren't crippled financially, say a 2 weeks wages fine instead of a set lump sum like 20,000) but also are more stringently applied with a completely independent tribunal handling appeals.

I agree, connections with fans do need to improve. Too many players think they have done so by opening social media accounts and taking dressing room selfies, but they haven't. I just think the way Wilshere did it wasn't the right way to go about it.

What about the fact he was swearing in front of thousands of people and on live TV? Kids will have been in the crowds and watching on TV. Regardless of whether they would hear that language anyway Jack Wilshere has to remain professional. Edited June 3, 201511 yr by Bobbywoodhogan

Regardless of whether they would hear that language anyway Jack Wilshere has to remain professional. That's the part that he has to take responsibility for. Didn't see Terry, Lamps or Cole singing offensive Arsenal/Spuds songs when we won the big one. Mainly because they are not morons and know a bit better to behave when the cameras are on. Wilshere has a reputation as a bit of a bellend so hell mend him.
June 3, 201511 yr Bunch of pathetic jobsworths over at the FA. They didn't charge him last year when he did the same thing, only when people kick up a fuss this time round they decide to do something.
June 3, 201511 yr As well as having the best medical team I really think Chelsea seem to have the best control of their players on social media and the like. We have to go back to Ash to find anyone being anything close to being a twat really. Wilshere as others have said is a classless twat. But I can't help thinking that if it had been JT singing along to his song (and he looked close to it after the Sunderland game, albeit without a mike), we'd have loved it!

June 3, 201511 yr They didn't charge him last year when he did the same thing, only when people kick up a fuss this time round they decide to do something. They're forever buckling to the public/media coverage of events. No way would Matic normally get his suspension reduced for pushing an opposition player, it's only because of the backlash they made a token gesture with reducing it.
June 3, 201511 yr What about the fact he was swearing in front of thousands of people and on live TV? Kids will have been in the crowds and watching on TV. Regardless of whether they would hear that language anyway Jack Wilshere has to remain professional. Wasn't it the crowd that swore? Wilshere says "what do we think if Tottenham" crowd responds "sh*t". Or was there more to it?
June 3, 201511 yr Wasn't it the crowd that swore? Wilshere says "what do we think if Tottenham" crowd responds "sh*t". Or was there more to it? He will have also said the reverse if he'd done the chant properly - it's one our fans sing all the time: 'What do we think of sh*t?' so the crowd can shout 'T*ttenham!'.
June 3, 201511 yr Wasn't it the crowd that swore? Wilshere says "what do we think if Tottenham" crowd responds "sh*t". Or was there more to it? Yeah, as Jones1905 says above. He also sung this apparently "My old man said be a Tottenham fan But I said f**k off b***ocks, you're a c**t, you're a c**t "

Fair enough but JT is a main factor in his teams success and not a passenger like Whilshere. Terry has actually earned trolling rights if it's at all possible.
June 3, 201511 yr Wasn't it the crowd that swore? Wilshere says "what do we think if Tottenham" crowd responds "sh*t". Or was there more to it? I thought he swore aswell? Well even if I've gotten it wrong he's still inciting it. I just think it showed a lack of professionalism and it wasn't a moment of madness or anything in a high profile moment where emotions got the better.

June 4, 201511 yr Arsenal keeper, you know the one I mean, not Ospina, the other one (don't know how to spell his name) has been snapped smoking. If I didn't know better, I'd say their whole squad did it!
June 4, 201511 yr Didn't he get found out smoking in the showers after a game or something? And thats why he got dropped?Clearly does not give a f**k, he's made enough money and taken enough w**ky selfies.
