Andreas Christensen #31 deserves a thread in the Chelsea forum to celebrate his first team squad inclusion.

Not seen much of him so far, any idea if he's a really good prospect and likely to break through to the starting 11 even in the cups ect?

I hear all sorts of good things, but he's never really stood out when I've seen him play.

His stand out ability is making it look easy at 18yo.

 

The kid is 100% captain material imo.

 

Comparing him to JT may be a bit premature, but he has certainly got a great future.

Will be interesting to see which of he, Zouma or Kalas ends up a starting CB in the coming years.

I'm weary of how good these boys actually are or what chances they will get when we go out and spend millions on 19 year olds like Zouma while some people think Varne will be next.

Seems to find football so easy in the academy sides that he takes unnecessary ricks/chances occasionally that then puts the defence

under pressure, when there was none before.

So saying that, he certainly looks to be a great prospect for the future.

Christensen has looked very good, and we should be glad that he's getting his chance rather than lamenting about those that aren't.

We've chosen to develop Kalas by sending him on loan to the Bundesliga? He can only benefit playing week in week out at a high level of competition.

I keep hearing really good things about him but considering the level on opponents he's playing against I'm wary of getting too excited about the future as there are far to many variables.

 

I'm hoping that he gets some decent appearances this season but he will undoubtedly go out on loan next season. Probably to the Bundasliga or La Liga.

I would have liked to see more of Kalas but any new youngster is always exciting to watch in action. Will see what the future tells us about him.
