Better Call Saul - Possible Spoilers

Featured Replies

Just see episode two, I seem to be a week behind, love it. I agree with bazzle that he stole every scene he was in in BB.

Are we going to discuss the latest episodes in this thread? If so then I'll add a spoilers bit to the title for those of us who are lagging behind.

Please add the Spoiler tags - I don't think we are all in sync when people are watching this show - BTW I just love can't get enough of this quote:

I’m the rising tide that raises all dinghies." - Jimmy McGill

just saw ep4, another great episode even if this one slowed the pace a little bit

so far it's been fantastic, it's amazing that gilligan can bring in some classic breaking bad tense moment while keeping the show's comedic image

did anyone checkout the latest episode? It was freakin' hilarious. Allergic to electricity? Are you kidding me? BTW, I just got a new space blanket due to watching Chuck w/ his. I think I will wear it when one of the dirty red sides are on so I can reflect the negative vibes

Yeah watched it. I feel like the last two episodes, 4 & 5 have been more comedy and less drama/story progression which is disappointing. I'm sure I'll be disagreed with though, maybe it is story progression and I'm just not seeing it yet which is a possibility. Still really enjoying it though.

Thought the stuff with the brother was heartbreaking and showed new aspects of Jimmy, plus his blonde lady friend was much more fleshed out. Anyway, next episode....Mike!

Like I said, I don't think it progressed the story. However, I could be wrong. Like when I watched Breaking Bad there were episodes I watched and I felt like not much had happened then at the end of the show I looked back and saw how important some small stuff was.

Yeah, any theories as to what the Mike thing was about?

Also, I think Nacho and Chuck are going to die at some point. Nacho because when Tuco kidnaps Walt he isn't there while he seems to be close to Tuco in this show, and Chuck just because he doesn't exist in Breaking Bad and is clearly close to Jimmy/Saul so he either dies or they lose contact somehow.

It does seem to have calmed down a bit, but every season of breaking bad had quiet spells and then out of nowhere your chin is on the floor and your hands are on your head.

Something big is around the corner I reckon. Possibly to do with the Mike stuff at the end of the last one.

The policeman who turned up is mike's ex- partner from philly where he was a cop! he is in ABQ on the trot from philly P.D

Loving this series! I was always a big fan of Saul in Breaking Bad as a character so I had no doubt this would be great. Saul's brother is a bit of a weirdo but I like where the story is going with it.

It won't be as good as Breaking Bad (don't think anything will be) but still hooked enough to watch every episode once it's drops !

I bloody hated that fly episode.

I bloody hated that fly episode.

Yeah but they had no choice with that one. They had no money left in the budget and couldn't have a full cast (because they couldn't afford to pay them) so they limited the whole episode to just Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston messing about chasing the fly in the lab.

But I'm sure you already knew that. I'm just showing off

I knew that. I didn't even realise that loads of people disliked it till I looked on IMDB. Just a normal, good episode for me.

I can understand why some people thought so though, if they looked forward to the next episode all week and nothing much happened.  :laugh2:

No I didn't know that! Little factoid for me there.

Also I'm two episodes behind again, so that's my Friday evening sorted... how exciting.

I am now watching the latest episode & it hits me....Kim Wexler won't make it - I don't recall her in Breaking Bad, so nothing will come out good w/ her in this series

Same goes for Chuck and Nacho I assume. About to watch the latest episode.

Doesn't the series switch from being a prequel to a sequel at some point? i.e. both sides of Breaking Bad? You never know, she could have got a promotion/transfer, his dodgy clients could moved him away from her etc... I reckon she's in it for the long haul, both sides of BB.
