Transfer predictions-rivals

Featured Replies

Saw this on the man utd forums and thought it be a good idea to see who everyone thinks our rivals will buy in the summer

Man City: De Bruyne, Barkley, Isco

Man Utd:Cavani, Depay, Alves

Arsenal: Schenedelin, I could see Cech maybe going too

Liverpool: Pjanic, Walcott, Milner

Tottenham: Alderweid, Dybalo

Excuse my spelling on some of the names

Me too but just got a feeling that they will go for them 3

I don't think they would go for three players who would all be competing for more-or-less the same position, especially with David Silva still around and as brilliant as ever.

Good point dont think I thought that through maybe they will go for Barkley because he's English

Not sure about barkley, hasn't been great this season and would cost the earth.

Man Utd hummels, cavani

Man City sterling barkley

liverpool ings milner walcott

arsenal schneiderlin dybala.

Barkley would be near the top of my wish list.

Jeremie Boga has a similar profile which is why I wouldn't bother with the rather expensive Ross Barkley.

I'd much prefer his teammate John Stones simply because I don't think we have anything comparable in the Academy. Same reason I'd go for Bale.

Yeah I could see something like this. Hummels to United seems increasingly likely. Sterling could be an interesting one and the rest seem believable.

Walcott would probably go to either City or ourselves.

Could see him at United as well, as a striker.

I wanted him here when he was running down his contract a couple of years ago but now I think we need to give Cuadrado a go or invest in someone like Bale rather than 'taking a punt'.

Having said that he could cover the back-up striker spot as well as the right-wing.

City is a tough one to predict without knowing the manager situation but I think they'll need to focus on young talent.

I think Walcott could be the sort of player to decline much faster at the age of 27/28 due to starting his career at 16/17 and having loads of injuries over the years. I wouldn't want him.

Not Christensen? Similar players in my opinion, defenders good on the ball who can play centre and right back.

It's a fairly risk free punt though, and he wouldn't take a foreign slot in the squad.

Would Bale take a foreign slot or not btw?

Nope.

He is British so homegrown is it not?

Bale is homegrown.

30-odd games in two seasons because of a ruptured ACL when your game is based on pace is a bit of a risk to any sportsman but I meant it in the sense that he's not a young player we can turn a profit on if things don't work out, but ANOTHER 26 year old squad player on fairly high wages.

Part of me wants to see how he'd be used by Jose but I'm not sure he's guaranteed to make our starting eleven better. I'm on the fence and the injury worries me.

Currently I think Walcott would be a big improvement on Willian, don;t know about Cuadrado as he's not really been given a run of games.

He is English so that's a bonus but he'd be on huge wages and has not played much football in the past 2 seasons.
