No idea why we couldn't have just kept Blackman as 3rd choice

Sorry, I was meaning prior to the Amelia signing.  When Courtois is back that'll force Blackman to 4th and it seems rather pointless

Because he's a pretty bad goalkeeper to be fair, he's a League 1 level 'keeper at best. Amelia is fairly reliable and experienced.

I've never been particularly impressed with Amelia when I've seen him (admittedly not often), the AC Milan fans don't like him much, and there were rumours he got into a fight behind the scenes with Daniele Bonera.

 

I suppose it's the responsible thing to do in the absence of a reliable backup and especially considering the total lack of alternatives, but I hope he never really has to play and that this isn't a long-term deal.

 

Nonetheless, welcome to Chelsea, I hope Amelia can prove me wrong.

 

 

(It's an insult to compare him to a legend like Hilario though)
