Are you serious??

If you were paid 40k a week for a 10 year career you'd earn 20m over your career. Where I come from that's being 'set up for life'

In China they'll earn 3 or 4 times that, even more so.

It's greed, whilst playing in a piss poor standard league.

 

As much as I agree with this sentiment somewhat, you're also making an assumption that the player is going to last 10 years. That's not always a given.  It is easy to see how players can have their head's turned...and you've also got to add the agent factor into this.

By putting the agent into this just backs up my argument that it's a move based on greed.

Ok, but who's greed?

 

Also, again, you are assuming that a player is going to last 10 years.  40k a week, etc.  But you've not taken in taxes, cost of living, the players seeing what others are making, etc.

 

I agree that a move to China is more than likely money based, but if you were a player, you know that one injury can end it all, and someone comes knocking that will set you and future generations up for life, I'm pretty sure you'd take it.
