February 5, 201610 yr Are you serious?? If you were paid 40k a week for a 10 year career you'd earn 20m over your career. Where I come from that's being 'set up for life' In China they'll earn 3 or 4 times that, even more so. It's greed, whilst playing in a piss poor standard league. As much as I agree with this sentiment somewhat, you're also making an assumption that the player is going to last 10 years. That's not always a given. It is easy to see how players can have their head's turned...and you've also got to add the agent factor into this.

By putting the agent into this just backs up my argument that it's a move based on greed.
February 5, 201610 yr By putting the agent into this just backs up my argument that it's a move based on greed. Ok, but who's greed? Also, again, you are assuming that a player is going to last 10 years. 40k a week, etc. But you've not taken in taxes, cost of living, the players seeing what others are making, etc. I agree that a move to China is more than likely money based, but if you were a player, you know that one injury can end it all, and someone comes knocking that will set you and future generations up for life, I'm pretty sure you'd take it.
February 5, 201610 yr Drogs and Nico went to China. Look how that turned out. These players could be back in Europe within 12 months
February 5, 201610 yr Big clubs wanted him, good chance to play some high class football but he went for the money, good luck.
February 8, 201610 yr Drogs and Nico went to China. Look how that turned out. These players could be back in Europe within 12 months They will be at a cheaper price
February 8, 201610 yr The issue was that they regularly didn't get paid. Chances are Teixeira is on more money then DD so it could well be a problem. More than likely it won't matter but worth mentioning
February 9, 201610 yr Id have gone to China too, an easier, more comfortable life for alot more money, no brainer
February 9, 201610 yr I would definitely rather play in one of Europe's top leagues. This move shows he has no sporting ambition whatsoever. I don't think players here can complain about their salary either by the way..
