Quite clearly Hazard, by far the best player on the pitch.

 

 

It is such a joy and such a relief to see him play like this again. All season I was fretting; we only saw a glimpse of his abilities here or there before he was let down by injury or fitness or confidence. It is wonderful to see him surging forward without abandon, dribbling past defenders as if they were training cones, fearlessly shrugging off challenges and forcing the keeper to save in every direction.

 

He seems to have regained the sheer hubris to always demand he have the ball and to insist that he do something with it. I had almost forgotten just how f**king good Eden Hazard is. Kevin de Bruyne wishes he was half the footballer.

 

The best player in the league is back, and that is far, far more valuable than any signing we might make over the summer. We absolutely must not let him go, no matter what the cost. This is not a player we can replace.

That was the old Hazard. Just brilliant. A unique talent who can still get better.

Torn between Hazard and Begovic. Eden was great throughout, but Begovic gets my vote for saving his best for last.
