 He joined Celtic's Glasgow rivals Rangers, after being virtually signed again by Celtic.

Am guessing that the photo was taken in at least 1989 the year that Johnston moved to Glasgow's finest.  I am. of course, very biased! I remember Hearts missing out on the title and the pain their supporters felt. Of course 1986 was also when a certain Graeme Souness joined Rangers.

Looking again at the names above I have to say that Danny McGrain was a fine full-back.
