April 17, 20206 yr Tom Boyd in a Motherwell strip, shortly before his move to us in summer 1991. he didn't stay with us that long. Moving back north to Celtic in late 1991. Looks like Mo Johnston of Rangers, in action against him in this admiral advert.
April 17, 20206 yr UHLSport German advert for their Inter Milan Kit. UHL Sport are, to me anyway, better known for their Goalie Gloves. Honestly never realised they'd been an Inter kit maker back then.
April 17, 20206 yr This must be a rare enough picture. Tommy Smith and Emlyn Hughes looking friendly to each other in the same picture. I've read that they never spoke off the pitch from about 1973 ish ! Think Hughes was awarded the Liverpool captaincy by Bill Shankly and Smith 'wasn't pleased' about it.

April 20, 20206 yr Picture caption states this is at the entrance to Stoke City's ground in the 1960s. Just like this picture.

They were my old man's all time front two strike partnership. In fact he'd throw in George Best and Bobby Charlton as his front four British all time forward line.

April 21, 20206 yr Might have posted this pic before. 1901 FA Cup Final at Crystal palace. the original venue. 114,000 watched the match ! Amazing attendance, considering the FA Cup had only being in existence since the early 1870s. The best club in London it should be noted, was still 4 years away from being formed.
