No idea what the ground is !

The game played sometime in the 1960s game perhaps ?

I think that it's the Den, Millwall's old ground. That was a rough place to go to.

The local fans don't get too excited.     (After all it's only Spuds:biggrin:!)

'Even though it's Ossie Ardiles taking the throw-in during his comeback at Luton in the Spurs reserves. January 1983.'

To be fair, QPR would love an away support this size...

Boyne: One for you. Ibrox taken I think in the mid 1960,

Compare it to your photo earlier.

The school is still the same in both photos by the looks of it.

@erskbluethanks for posting. I think you're right about when the picture was taken. Ibrox has certainly changed but it's great that the Main Stand has been left mainly unchanged. The Main Stand which is a great example of Leitch's design skills must be one of most iconic stands in the U.K. Modern Ibrox is a great mixture of old and new.

Until the building and completion of the M8 Motorway close to Ibrox in the mid 1970s.

Edmiston Drive (the road running directly in front of the Main Stand) was still the main road to and from Greenock until the mid 1970s.

England 1-5 Scotland

Cheers Boyne; One of my grandfathers was at this Wembley game.

He used to 'go down memory lane' about this game and the Scottish Cup Final, two weeks later between Rangers and Celtic. Rangers won 4-0,

It was probably his that season !

A great season for your Grandfather. A wonderful blues double. A bit of a Chelsea connection with the Scotland team with one in the side and two future players in the team. With the legendary wee blue devil, Morton upfront.

Davie Meiklehohn and Bob McPhail, two legendary players not in the Scotland Squad. My paternal Grandfather was born in 1910 and I remember him saying that Meiklejohn was the best Rangers player he ever saw.

The lady next to the linesman bears an uncanny resemblance to Susan Boyle.

The Chelsea player in the Scotland team that day, was Tommy Law at the left back.

It was his debut and he only played one other game for Scotland.

It was in the 1930 game at Wembley v England, when England gained revenge by wining 5-2 !

European Cup Arsenal v Ajax. Highbury 1971/72.

Ajax’s Arie Haan raises his arms in celebrationas George Graham heads the ball into his own net.

'There was absolutely nothing “amateur” about Ajax this time. Brian Glanville, in his book, Champions of Europe, said Arsenal looked “clumsy and naïve” compared to the sleek Ajax side. "

West Germany line up at Wembley v England in 1972.

Great adidas tracksuit top the West German team are wearing.

Remember watching that game on the TV. Can't remember if it was live or just highlights were shown. If I recall, Netzer had a brilliant game for the West Germans.

I remember that game. I think Uli Hoeness scored as well.

I recently saw Gunter Netzer at a bar in the Christmas Market in Cologne. I was staring at him for ages before I could put a name to the face.

Talking of famous German footballers I've met, I once met Dieter Hoeness, Uli's younger and much nicer, but less talented brother. He is an old uni friend of a German mate of mine. Very nice guy. Played for Germany in the '86 world cup.
