I think it is Donnachie in the background. A fine player. One of the things he's remembered for is the own-goal he scored when Scotland played Wales. A terrible back-pass.

One of the things I love about Ibrox - apart from Rangers playing there - is the way the Main Stand was retained during reconstruction in the seventies and eighties. A few changes have been made e.g. putting seats in the Enclosure in the lower tier and adding the Club Deck but it still retains the old look. Leitch would be proud.

I seem to remember the clown comment being made either at half-time or at the end of the game. I'll try and check. Edit: No - you're right, it was before the game. But Clough was the ITV studio guest that night: Quote At half-time he refused to back down on his description of Tomaszewski, and told the nation: "Keep calm. Put the kettle on, mother. Don't worry - the goals are going to come." https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/24445822 Edited May 24, 20206 yr by Backbiter

Always remember in park, if you parried a shot and then saved the rebound, we'd all shout Montgomery, funny, none of us were old enough to have watched the final as only just turned 4 and the Monty save if you were lucky was only showed once a year on cup final Granstand, so it became a bit like Banks from Pele, mythical, that when shown it was a real treat, no you tube or even video recorders.

That's why I really enjoy watching The Big Match Revisited. I've seen the full programme and the footage of all of our highlights when it's us as a featured game. For the first time ! Yeah I know some of the footage was in the mid 1970s !! Here in Scotland, we only got the goals or very edited English football highlights until about 1982 ish
