Kante, ivanovic, Willian solid performances

I don't really get how people are suggesting Oscar for MOTM. I thought he was one of our biggest weaknesses going forward, gave the ball away so much with sloppy passing.

Although he faded a little as the game went on, it's still Hazard for me, closely followed by Cahill and then Kante and Oscar.

I'd agree there are lots of potential names for MOM. But not this one - I thought he was our weak link by a distance. The amount of time he gives the ball away is outrageous. A shadow of the player of 2 years ago.

Yeah not sure how anyone could think Matic was best last night.  Very indecisive in an advanced role and had nothing to do defensively

I picked Cahill, he was all over Carrol

After watching the match again, am going to give it to Hazard.

Might need to add a sub counter as well, as it would be unfair on the Moses' and the Pedros if they have 12 sub appearances for 8 minutes each.  Not always going to get an assist in that time like the batman

Agreed, I'll try and figure out a way to mitigate the impact of sub ratings (e.g. it only counting for 0.5 or 0.75 of a rating compared to 1 for a start). It might also be worth doing something similar for players who are subbed off early due to injury.

I think the obvious choice was Hazard, despite fading and ultimately being subbed.

 

However, for an "old back 4" I thought that Cahill, Ivan, and Apzi all did exceptionally well.

 

Would loved to have seen Kante play without the shackle of the early yellow card. 

Kante was decent enough, but not spectacular. Could of easily been given second yellow.

 

Oscar worked his balls off to be fair to him. But still offers very little going forward (bar that silly backheel!)

 

Costa worked his socks off too. Dont think ive ever seen him run so much. Plus he got the winner. Him or Hazard

Tough, thought everyone did what they were asked to do. Dave going forward and defensively was good, Hazard used the ball well and attracted 3 players at times and still beat them. Kante was solid but lucky without getting second yellow. Loads of people didn't want JT or Cahill in their starting 11 and were both solid. The rest also played well and contributed to the win. Will go with Hazard but could of been anyone.

Went for Diego. Without him scoring and getting the monkey of last season of our backs, it would have been tougher for us.

Kante for this game
