Matic for me, looked more assured tonight than he has since 2014. Used his strength brilliantly and looked far less skittish than usual- still needs to work on using his right foot though.

Difficult choice as this was really a very good team performance. In my opinion we didn't have any weak links among the outfield players and it led to us dominating the majority of the game, as well as looking far stronger in defence than we have done for ages.

I'll put Ivanovic, Cahill, Kanté and Oscar into a hat and see who comes out.

Cahill or Oscar for me, followed closely by Kante. Cahill battered Carroll.

This guy

influenced the match enough where Bilic had to adjust his game plan - still wasn't enough as Dave controlled that Left Flank & was able to get forward to attack

Honestly i cant pick a player because nobody played badly, even Ivanovic was good. But Kante cant be considered for the MOTM. He was not really outstanding today because i have seen him played much better for Leicester.

That's a good shout robdog, but he's so consistently excellent he rarely gets this award unfortunately.

Kante for me, Hazard would have got it if he didn't slow down after he scored. Kante was great, he was everywhere we needed him to be tonight, even when he got a yellow card early on he still did what was needed. A great debut from him.

I believe its the fact he is a natural RB & CFC fans want him at that position, but let's be real here - Dave interacts perfectly w/ Eden - they are a perfect match there on the left flank

Lol, only one for Cahill - mine?  :laugh2:  That was his second best performance for Chelsea. Dave, Hazard, Costa and Kante were good all but they had their bad periods. Cahills was there since minute 1 until the end. Good job, Garry, keep on doing this!

Only fair to mention that Brana had a good game. He gets a lot of stick, some deserved and some way over the top but he is still a decent defender (sometimes!). Credit to him, he played well tonight.

MOM was Hazard for me. First half he was on a different level. Did fade though.

Cahill was good.  Came over top Andy Carroll all game with headers to get the ball right back to us.  Kante was exceptional, and got my vote.  But if Hazard wasn't in the team I'm not sure we would have create 3/4ths the chances we had...

I'd agree there are lots of potential names for MOM. But not this one - I thought he was our weak link by a distance. The amount of time he gives the ball away is outrageous. A shadow of the player of 2 years ago.

I dunno about that, I feel that with a winger like Hazard that drifts inside you need a fullback that can stay wide and put in good crosses which Azpi doesn't seem to do on his left foot. Eg. Messi-Alves back in the day. He does well to make up for Hazard's defensive weakness though because he's just so good. Best defender in the league.

Only caught the second half but it's hard to pick a winner here. As others have said, it was a good team performance. Promising, but still much to improve on. I went for Kante as he looks like exactly what we needed.

A lot of good performances today.

Oscar and Matic were a lot better than they have been in recent months, Ivan had his best game for a while and was pretty solid,

Hazard was great in patches (I think Gary Neville was spot on about him), but I'm going to give it to Kante.

He's here, there and everywhere, the amount of attacks he breaks up, at source, makes such a difference, that I think he would have to be missing for a match to truly appreciate it .

Tidy on the ball as well.

No one had a bad game, toss up between Kante and Cahill. Shout out to Brana and Batshuyi (don't like p word, I know I know it's me).

Kante it is.
