Apparently Chelsea meeting with Franck Kessie's agent.

The 19-year old Ivorian box-to-box midfielder with a shade of Essien to him has had a blinder start to the season for Sampdoria (albeit his form has tapered off a bit). Reports from Italy say that his agent is in Chelsea to discuss a January transfer. Far from a finished product but the guy is a tank. Funnily enough I believe he started off as a defender.

That said - if you really want an Ivorian midfielder Jean Michel Seri would be my priority. He has been a beast for Nice this season. Would make Yaya Toure proud. Arguably best player in France right now.

I find it hard to trust your judgement since the whole Djilobodji thing, but God knows I've been wrong about players a ton of times. I'd love power and steam back in our midfield, and if one of these guys could bring that I'd say take the punt Chelsea!

Kessie is still work in progress. Still... pretty remarkable first Serie A season - at 19 and is the lynchpin at Atalanta.

Besides - there must be some reason he's hot property at the moment, right?

He's from the MRI era of football. Featured at the U17 World Cup in 2013 (the same World Cup Iheanacho won).

He gets up to an 84 on FIFA17, I say do it

have no idea about him, but heard good things around the net on him. 19 though? seems young to fit into our first team ahead of rlc and chalobah. 

I have doubts about his real age being 19. Looks a lot older and with him being born in Africa, these things are common with people looking to get a good career. Very talented but he looks late 20s.

Five goals as well, that's pretty impressive.
