Ok, it`s the fourth and the last clash in the season between two clubs.

There was a lose, a draw and a win for us, what`s now???

I`m pleased that last time we have had good news only..... but 3 vital matches during one week would be very difficult, especially when we already drawn one, instead of winning it. But anyway we can make some minimal rotation in midfield, even playing vital matches only, that`s Chelsea of nowadays - the great club!!!

And Tottenham would be severely tired, had played their last away game on Thursday (against Sevilla) with the best players....

Makelele was rested, so I think he starts....

Bridge, Cole are rotating......................

Diarra must play for me................

I have no news on Essien...... Is he fit?? What news from Chelsea TV??

So, for me it would be:

.................Cech....................

........Rikky.........Terry...........

Diarra........................Bridge..

................Makelele................

......Ballack...........Lampard.....

........Essien//Mikel//SWP.........

...Sheva//Kalou...Drogba........

Bench: J.Cole!!!! icon_wink.gif

I`m afraid to start with SWP, but I`m not Mourinho....

If Essien is fit then he must play for sure to get his best form.......

What will be the score?? It`s better to ask TT..... icon_lol.gif

Forget Rottenham being tired. If we go into the match looking to play against a tired team they'll do us. They didn't look especially exerted last night and one or two had rests, so I would discount that as a major factor.

The other thing I would discount is the return of Essien, and it's something I'm a bit pissed off about. He obviously injured his knee scoring the og v Spuds the other week, but was allowed to carry on till the end of the game, which I think was a mistake, one that we may regret. We could have done with him on Weds, but I fear we won't see him again this season. It's one thing to damage the knee, it's entirely another to continue playing with it. It was a stupid decision in a stupid game, which leads me to my next point.

The atmosphere around this game will be similar to the cup game, so I expect a better response from the team. I hope Jose reminds them of the 2nd half and turns their focus away from the 1st half. We can't start the game the same way and with JT in the team I don't expect us to.

Another major factor will be the upcoming game on Tuesday - Jose will want to put this one to bed early and then rotate players to keep them fresh for the (next) biggest game of the season, so I'd expect us to try and control the game, rest on the ball, score early and send the Spuds packing with a 2-0 defeat in their bags.

0-0 with 20 minutes to go. joe cole far post volley for the winner. you heard it here first.

They have only 5 defenders now, Rocha is set tot return after he was ineligible for Thursday's Uefa Cup defeat to Sevilla.

Hopefully Ledley King is still out.....So their defence would be tired and it means more chances for us in the 2nd half.

Also I believe we would play 4-4-2 with Drog and Kalou are both starting. If everything would be ok, then Sheva replaces Drogba after 45-65 mins....

So, Kalou would gets some practise, while Drogba and Sheva would get some rest...

beat the scum, pleaseeeeeeeeee

Have you make a big bet??? icon_wink.gif

i've stop betting after realising(quite expensively so) that you can't beat the bookies... and that betting on arsenal and inter is definitively not a good idea...

no but for arsenal to qualify for the CL, we have to rely on the other teams to do very badly in the next weeks... that's our last hope.

It seems Essien is still out......

If he misses Tottenham then I think he will miss Valencia away, being out of form, doesn`t he???

I'll sign that petition, Lauren! 156.gif

Chelsea

01 Cech

20 Ferreira

06 Carvalho

26 Terry

18 Bridge

04 Makelele

08 Lampard

12 Mikel

11 Drogba

24 Wright-Phillips

21 Kalou

Substitutes

40 Hilario, 07 Shevchenko, 10 Cole, 13 Ballack, 19 Diarra

A little surprised at the line up (in particular Sheva on bench) - maybe picked with Tuesday in mind.

I've already had to turn the sound down on the TV. The first two comments where "if Chelsea don't get 3 points their season's over" WTF? and "The pressure to win is too great" etc etc.

Bloody Manc/Scouse loving Setanta!!! actions1.gifactions1.gif

I can't even get a picture thanks to NTL/Virgin Media messing up the Pay Per View, I'm having to listen to f*cking 5Live!!

If games were decided on whos back 4 have most of the ball - we?d win the league hands down. But, it relies on goals. They?ve put out theor poxy 2nd team and we?ve had 3 shots on target.

Finally it worked but I missed the first 15 minutes.

Bridge is having a very good game, look and learn Ashley. Lamps delivery is consistant in its inconsistancy.

Disappointed we took our foot off the pedal after the first 7 or 8 inutes when we looked like tearing them aprt ond emand.

Mikel looking very good so far.

PS - I hate Spanish keyboards. I?m having to guess where half the bloody letters are.

Aaaanyway, what is up with Lamps?? I?m not one of the ones who wants him off set piece duty but by`eck - have any of his reached a Chelsea player today? I?m in favour of inswinging set pieces, so I think the ones on the right should be left for Bridge/Robben etc... Maybe a goal would boost his confidence, can?t say he hasn?t got the fans support behind him.

Bah, I?m off to watch the 2nd half in this quiet little sports bar just off the beach icon_cool.gif

COME ON THE CHELS!!!!!!!!!!

Lamps is having a really poor game. I wou;d have hiim off for Ballack who is much more likely to make something of the balls crossed in from the flanks.

I saw Ballack come on... then nothing. Oh wait, he gave away 3 or 4 freekicks... but that was it. To be fair to him though, we didn?t appear to want the ball after we scored. The Spuddies were never really a threat, and for the first time in a long time - I was confident we wouldn?t let a goal in.

Great to see Joey again, up to his tricks, good block to stop a break too... How many Premiership games has he played this season? That was his 3rd yellow icon_lol.gif

Hmmm... Ricky scores and has a good defensive game against Spuds... Are some going to warm to him now? icon_wink.gif
