June 1, 20179 yr Good evening folks. First of all I just want to say a massive thank you to Chelsea for letting us have Kasey Palmer and Izzy Brown on loan this season. They both played a massive part in making a ridiculous dream a reality. Still can't believe we will be mixing it with yourselves and the other big clubs at the top table. Yes we will probably get hammered most weeks but we've waited a long time to get back so we'll enjoy it while it lasts. What do you think our chances of getting Palmer and Brown permanently are? The ridiculous loan rules in the Premier League mean that a permanent deal is our only realistic chance of seeing them back here next season. If we could get the pair for £10 million plus some sort of buy back clause I think that would be perfect for both clubs. They are both exceptional talents (atleast by our standards) and need to be playing regular football at the highest level and we can give them that. Anyway, good luck for next season and take it easy on us when we come down to the Bridge!
June 1, 20179 yr Well done on promotion i personally have wanted us to play at your place for years as its one of the grounds/clubs i've never been to, we last played you away at your old ground in 83. I think i'm right but i think it'll be the first time we'll play you away since we had a fan killed at your place as well so expect a big older Chelsea support to travel to pay respects to our fellow fan, they'll be no trouble just to remember our fan who sadly died, we had the same situation away to PNE in the cup a few years ago & loads of our older fans travelled & remembered another fan who was killed there. Regards Palmer & Brown i'm not sure on the loan rules but i cant see why they both cant be on loan at your place again next season? I'd be happy if they both played for you again, in an ideal world they'll then break in to our 1st team in the near future but thats doubtful sadly. Congrats again.
June 1, 20179 yr Author The away allocation at our place is only 2000 as we have home fans in half the away end nowadays. So unfortunately there won't be that many able to travel up unless they come anyway The loan rules are no more than 2 loan players at any one time and no more than 4 in the whole season. Only allowed 1 from a single club. So if we can't get Brown permanently then I'd like to see us use one of our loan spaces on a season long deal
June 1, 20179 yr Well done on your Play Off win on Monday. How nerve racking was that ?! You probably still can't believe it ! All the best next season, apart from when you're playing us, obviously!!
June 2, 20179 yr ideally, if we can sell you one of them and have a buy back clause inserted in + loan the other, then we both come out looking good. welcome to the premier league!
June 2, 20179 yr If we buy Bakayoko and Tolisso, then dont see a future for palmer here. As for brown, I would keep him on the books as we are short on striker options. Costa (29), Michy (not rated), Tammy (too raw), Solanke (sold). We need some investments in the striker position in the coming years, hence would keep brown on books just in case.

Don't think Brown will amount to more than a Championship striker, lower prem at best. He's actually the one i want to make it the most as i have mutual friends with him, but i just can't see it.

Played on the wing for Rotherham and was signed by Wagner with the same intention. Unfortunately Palmer got injured so Town tried Brown in the number 10 role behind Wells and he thrived. I think Palmer will have the better career of the two if he can stay fit but both will be solid Premier League players for many years to come

Brown, like the poster before me said is not a striker. He played a few games for Rotherham up front but defo a no.10. 19 hours ago, kaseypalmerhtfc said: Brown isn't a striker, never in a million years. I think you lot will take Brown on loan instead of Palmer next season however I personally rate Palmer more and hopefully has a stellar season next one. Brown, not a huge fan of tbh in terms of prospect here but could prove me wrong but don't think he has any outstanding attributes that gives him an opportunity of making it here.

Hence the midfield mix up. By the way what happened to Colkett. Seemed a talent when I saw him in the youth games a couple of times.

June 3, 20179 yr Honestly I really don't know why we would not sell both, so long as we had reasonable buy back fees inserted in their deals. Say we sell each at 5mill. After one year we can buy back for 6.5mill each, after 2 8mill each after 3 10mill each. If we are not the buying club we insert a percentage of profit fee on any deal, say 30%. Win win for all concerned and they get at least one season of pl football.

Seemed a talent when I saw him in the youth games a couple of times. Yeah, brilliant technical footballer. Reminds me of a left footed Baker but not in same class. He was on loan at Bristol Rovers for first half of season but did not start as much as the club wanted so we recalled him and sent him on loan to Swindon where he done well. Scored a goal of the season contender down there. But big step up from youth to mens football and adjusting to the physical aspect. I reckon like MTF was saying, we may loan him to Vitesse like we did with Baker. Don't think he will go Championship next season because he won't be guaranteed starts. Similarly to DaSilva, who if not at Vitesse prob will go back to L1 with Charlton.
June 5, 20179 yr We (Brighton) have a similar problem should we beat Newcastle and sign Tammy Abraham on loan. Only 1 loan allowed from each club and we'd all be keen to loan Tomori again. Who looks a real prospect! Unless there is any chance we could sign Tomori on a perm.
