We HAVE to buy a CM. I dont think that should be conditional to getting a striker. 

Icardi is weak outside of the box, just as much as Bats. His all round game is poor much the same. I'd rather keep Bats and buy a different type of striker to replace Morata if he is leaving. Then next season you have (?)unknown, Bats (poacher), Giroud (target man).

I dont think we will have 3 strikers in the squad. Hell, even in a season where we had CL football, we had just 2 strikers. Dont know why. 

Also, while I do agree that out of box play is not Icardi's strong suit, I seriously have to disagree with it being as poor as Bats. Lets agree to disgree though.

In case we do go into the season with 2 strikers (as we have done for some time now), who would be your choices? 

Icardi can actually hold the ball up, BatshuayI cannot. Icardi is clearly the much better player and a much more complete striker in the mould of Kane then he is like Batshuayi.

 

Bigger worry is the radio silence on player links. This lack of interest in any players reminds me way too much of last season.

That is not entirely the case. We are being heavily linked with Seri from Nice.

Seri has a physical condition which means he will never play in England (Due to the cold weather). The links are not true.
