July 31, 20223 yr Congrats to the English team, they deserved it. And showed the men how it’s done! Great to see Bright and Kirby playing part in that victory, though the Germans had Kirby well covered tonight. But also, congrats to the Germans who have also played really good football throughout the tournament. I have to add that I’d bring Oberdorf (Germany’s number 6) to our Chelsea men side, what a defensive midfielder she is. I have greatly enjoyed the matches I’ve watched. On another note, Chelsea women are playing West Ham at the bridge on the 11 September. I think prices at the MH and Shed are around £10. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/chelsea-women-stars-help-england-make-history Edited July 31, 20223 yr by RMH
August 1, 20223 yr Great job to the England women, fantastic tournament and victory. Did the nation proud Delighted for Millie and Fran, heartbeats of the Chelsea Women.
August 1, 20223 yr Iconic shot for me, I wondered for a moment if there was anything under that shirt and was about to cause another kind of celebration, for anyone that remembers Erica Roe......😀
August 1, 20223 yr It made me realise that even with sports bra’s, there can still be some serious recoil. The BBC loved that, slowing down the celebration, though in hindsight, she’s probably a bit old for them.
August 1, 20223 yr Well done to the England team on winning the tournament. Great scenes of genuine and unbridled joy too. Sadly, for me though there’s a slight sour note in how the whole event is somewhat overshadowed by a gender battle of sorts. So much coverage arguing about gender of match officials, commentators, pundits and even the gender of the musicians of the band who’s song was played on the BBC coverage. One of the weirdest things is how the extreme right wing misogynistic Daily Mail is attacking woke lefty Lineker of the hated BBC over a bra pun he made on twitter, yet they are infamous for their website sidebar that reduces all females to sex objects. It’s times like this that thinking about it all makes my brain hurt and want to check out from this insane world.

Well it is, it’s been great to see the women’s game get a bit more recognition and respect after being overshadowed by the mens game for so long. It’d be nice to live in a world where it wasn’t necessary to point it out at every opportunity. Just need a few of the dinosaur fans who can’t stand seeing people enjoy a sport differently to their ‘tradition values’ (I.e. being pissed up, horrible and obnoxious c**ts every match day - not you btw ) to shut the f**k up and let people enjoy things.
August 2, 20223 yr I actually thought Alex Scott, Fara Williams and the Arsenal women's manager made good points as pundits especially when compared to Lineker and his chums.
