Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea Manager

Have you done any research on how they achieved that? By the time he left the club they were in financial ruins from spending way more money than they had to achieve those results. And yes, beating Arsenal was impressive enough but freak results in cup competitions happens all the time. Like Saudi Arabia beating the world champions.

And if you haven't I may suggest that you start here and go from there and draw your own conclusions. Interesting read though.
But thats the club Potter was involved in "building".

Then perhaps we should sack Potter for losing away to Dortmund as they're so sh*t?

Focusing on the result to fit your agenda fails on closer scrutiny. We (10th place EPL) lost a very close game to Dortmund (2nd Bun) away, when they were on a 10? straight win streak,  we played the better football for large parts, proven by their keeper getting MOTM.

For what its worth Dortmund are actually first in the league above Nagelsmann currently

Perhaps I wasn't entirely serious? Sacking him for having us 10th in April on the other hand...

Now just waiting for @RIP Mourinho to tell me how impressive that fraudulent business at Ostersund was.

Regardless of any financial doping, please tell which of the below players are world class and whether they had any right to be beating top premier league teams? We're talking managers here, not dodgy owners. Or should we write off all our achievements under Roman because everyone claimed he was 'dodgy' too?

Just look at their squad compared to ours. On paper, we're miles better than Dortmund. Yet barely beating them is the highlight of Potter's reign here. Do that to Real Madrid and I'll be much more impressed.

How many top Premier League teams did Ostersund beat exactly?

Nagelsmann is another project manager that will take months to settle in with his ideas. He's second in the easiest league in Europe with the biggest team. We'll have the same people moaning. If we're replacing Potter it has to be instant success.

He took Hoffenheim from the relegation zone to 4th pretty quickly. As opposed to Potter who needed 3 years to take Brighton from 16th to 9th.

Though to be honest, I'm not too keen on Nagelsmann. I was watching the Bayern vs Leverkusen game (I had a bet on Bayern) and they looked awful. Leverkusen played them off the park. I don't know if that's because he lost the dressing room or some other factor, but I'm not too confident in him.

There is no point in discussing individual games as freak results happen all the time. If not we should probably hire Phil Parkinson who beat Mourinho at Stamford Bridge with Bradford. Or any of the other sh*te managers who's upset favorites.

Potter and Kinberg had a really close relationship btw. The latter sentenced to three years in prison for the crime and fraud that was used to "build" that club.

I'll repeat it, what Potter did at Ostersund is more impressive than what Nagelsmann did with Hoffenheim.

Was what Chris Wilder did at Sheffield United more impressive than Nagelsmann as well. Got them promoted 2 leagues then finished 9th in the hardest league in the world. Maybe we should hire him next by that logic 👍

Lower league management is different to managing a team like Chelsea, teams don't sit in a low block week in week out against Ostersund

And even if Potter did a good job at Ostersund, it doesn't change the fact that Potter has done an absolutely sh*te job here.

Villas Boas was considered one of our worst managers, yet he had us 5th after 27 games when he was sacked, and he barely spent anything. Meanwhile Potter has us 10th on goal difference after spending 600m. The only reason he hasn't been sacked yet is either we can't afford it, or Boehly doesn't want to admit he was wrong.

That may have worked if he didn't then go onto win a further two games at The Emirates at Brighton.

The he ruined it all with his sh*t transfers, Conte esque wars with the hierarchy and left them in a right state.

Have you read this by the way? Sale of falsified assets to balance books. No different from what City did sponsoring themselves or Roman plunging 100's of millions into the club in the early noughties.

Ostersund spent a grand total of £0 on new players the summer and January before they beat Arsenal and a huge 205k euros the summer and January the season before. But somehow the owner being dodgy takes away from the managerial achievement? This point makes zero sense.

You should see Bayern Munich's squad and they're behind them in the league, yet people want Nagelsmann here?

Personally I think the no crowds hurt Sheffield United a lot, their home ground was a fortress. Also it seems like Heckingbottom might have been the brains behind it all, given how we'll he's doing there, compared to how Wilder did with Middlesborough.

Are we really going to judge Potter with 3 games at smaller clubs? He's shown that he can coach a team to sit back and play on the counter, when it comes to breaking down a defense he's been clueless.

One mate, thought that was common knowledge. Probably the equivalent of Wrexham beating Liverpool though, very impressive.

You seem to have it out for managers who actually win. Odd. Arteta no good, Conte no good, Mourinho no good etc etc.

Hoffenheim finished consistently 8th/9th before that anomaly season in 15th. So really he took a team that was 8th/9th and finished 4th. Yes, a good job but by no means is it some miracle as people are making out.

Potter has consistently beat bigger teams. Did the double over Arsenal in his first year at Brighton, consistently put 4 goals past Utd.

You keep talking about the crime to 'build' the club. That was to balance books, look at their transfer history. You're making out like they spent 100's of millions on talent. They consistently spent nothing.

He's never played counter attacking football and sat back though? Quite the opposite in fact, you're just saying what you want to hear.
