Coming from someone who repeatedly blamed Uefa Champions League winning footballers for Romelu Lukaku's incompetence.

You really cannot make it up sometimes 🤣

Was creative players and lack of supply for the striker a bit of a problem for us before we bought Felix & Enzo in? Yeah, thought so.

Wasn't even a big defender of Lukaku. Thought he screwed himself and us with that interview he had early on.

Wasn't a problem when we were creating chances at will en route to becoming UCL winners, or in multiple games after he was dropped including at The Bernabeu.

But regardless just pointing out the obvious double standards of claiming I "have it our for winners" when you threw our UCL winning squad under a bus to protect Lukaku (which you did after the interview aswell btw).

Can you show me a quote where i threw the squad under the bus to protect Lukaku?

How can he do that Sindre when you had your account deleted ? I'm starting to see why you did it now.

Lol, the posts are still all there i'm sure.

I can stand for everything i've said.

Jim and everyone else who claimed we had a fantastic squad and Tuchel held them back only to now claim we need to replace everyone, give Potter a brand new attack, midfield and defence before we can expect anything may not though.

Just by clicking a random page on my profile.

"Well, you expect him to win us points despite anything that might be going on behind him."

I mean yes I do expect someone who thinks he's as good as peak Suarez and Benzema to do exactly that but anyway I digress.

Now if my memory serves me correct he was dropped after that and the players you were blaming for him barely being able to kick a ball straight created multiple chances against Lillie, Liverpool and Burnley in the two weeks following.

Let's look at what I said in it's entirety shall we. If I may say so myself I think thats a well balanced take and one that stood the test of time. And i'm certainly not throwing the entire squad under the bus to defend him so why lie? You may earn yourself some likes from the usual suspects/hypocrites though so well done.

Well, you expect him to win us points despite anything that might be going on behind him. So in other words, you'd expect him to be top class whether he had prime Fabregas and Hazard behind him or Havertz and Pulisic and others that generally can't assist to save their lives. Obviously who's with him in attacking areas makes a massive difference and if you are prepared to absolve every other attack to put the blame solely on Lukaku then you are being unreasonable in my view.

He should have been put through, clean on goal at least twice yesterday but the obvious pass never came. That is a problem no matter what anyone says.

Lukaku is very frustrating currently. No argument that but i'll be damned if for example Havertz who's absolutely sh*te himself is going to escape any cristicism. If Havertz was a good as we expected he'd make a huge difference for our striker. Instead he's strolling around, looking uninterested and generally sucks this season.

If you really want me to a deep dive I'm more than happy to but you'll have to give me a day as I have too much on today.

I wasn't going to mention it again bar the odd jokey comment like I did in his thread about a week ago but after that little dig yesterday I couldn't resist.

When we struggle to even create chances with Lukaku in the team and by inlarge did just fine on that score before and after (under Tuchel) then the focus should be on him and only him, not players who were winning UCLs and battering Madrid at The Bernabeu (ironically we only lost that tie because Benzema did what was supposedly too much to ask of Lukaku and actually did his job when his team were flaking and needed him).

Edit: i don't give two sh*ts about getting likes FYI, I've many times here gone against the general consensus (Lampard in/out, the football restart to name two) knowing I'd get so much more likes if I had the opposite view, I say it how I see it and always will.

Personally I credit Tuchel's system for winning the champions league a lot more than our attackers. Those attackers showed their real level under Lampard and Potter

Agreed but that further emphasises what I'm saying.

Lukaku comes in and all of a sudden we stop creating such a volume of chances, then start doing so again as soon as he's dropped.

Rafa walked into a club that was stable,  JT, Lampard, etc.

He hadn't lost players to transfers, the owner hadn't sacked the staff running the club, or sacked the medical staff in the middle of our biggest ever injury crisis.

He also had the best keeper ever to play for our club in goal and not the expensive disaster we have now.

I'm as unhappy as you about the state we are in, we are not that much better than we were under TT's horror start to this season, the club seem disjointed, record spending on players that Potter seemingly had no say in only adds to the confusion.

I don't know what the answer is, I don't care about Todd's feelings or Potter's reputation, but I do care about our club.

We live in hope !😁😁😁

Potter walked in a top 4 club that not so long ago was the Champion of Europe, and got 300m investment on top of it.

Can't have it both ways, "other managers won cause they had a great squad but Potter can't win cause he hasn't got it", this is simply not true. Potter has as much responsibility as any other manager we have ever had, anything else is just a pathetic excuse. If we are to say that other managers, e.g. Sarri did well only because he had Hazard, let's also use that same standard and say that whenever Potter wins a match it's only because he got a massive backing that all other managers wish they had in the recent years.

I'm tired of the excuses for Potter, other managers didn't have such an easy time as Roman was trigger-happy to sack them, they also had transfer bans and a powerful player power to deal with, let's not pretend that Potter is the first ever manager to have problems that he had, 99.99% of the managers wished they had his problems.

Benitez walked into a side that still had many prime, genuinely world class players.

The potterer walked into a side that had been playing like rubbish and generally on the decline for years. A club that was going through the worst injury crisis that it has had in modern times. A club that had just been sold and lost its senior leadership team - during the only winter World Cup that has ever been held, trying to integrate x number of young new players - most of whom have never played in this country, let alone league.

Yes - we had been scraping the top 4 for the past couple of seasons - but look at how we did it, mostly relying on the breakdown of bottlejobs (spurs and Leicester) around us.

Yes we won the champions league - which was an amazing achievement. But that success is very much against the grain of the last 5 years - when we have looked in constant stagnation (at best) or terminal decline (at worst).

Comparing the sh*t show that Potter has walked into - vs what the FSW did is like comparing apples and oranges.

True, but the fact that he gained 20lbs here didn't help at all. When he first joined against Arsenal he looked very good for us.

It seems like Conte is the only manager who can get him disciplined and in shape enough to really show his best. It's a shame we went for Morata over him in 2017, I think if Conte had signed Lukaku his time here would have been very different

Under Tuchel I think most considered us as the most likely team to "take over" when the City & Liverpool dominance ended. Tough second half of the season last year for a whole host of reason and also a tough start to this season for the same reasons but the sensible thing would have been to let him have a chance to worked in settled circumstances again.

When we were fit and not sanctioned under Tuchel we were simultaneously one of the very best teams in Europe and in England. To then sack him after the amount of crap he had to deal with from December 21 - September 22 was plain stupid. The main reason for stagnating under him was again the insane amount of crap him and we as a club had to endure in that period. Imagine the excuses for Potter if he had to deal with that?

Arsenal and to an extent the first half against Liverpool (CWC too I guess) was the only real positives we ever got out of him really.

I know people will say the two goals against Villa shortly after but that game for me was the first red flag, they had us on the ropes for the entire first half (and likely would have secured the win there and then but for Edou) partly thanks to exploiting the new gaps in our pressing game.

Exactly, people are rewriting history to defend Potter at this point.

Tuchel openly stated in his press conference he wants to poach Barry.

I think it will be the wrong move for Barry unless he wants to get into management reasonably soon, he has a job aslong as he wants it here but at Bayern he'll likely leave when Tuchel does.

Go back and watch the performances. Hell....go back and read some of the match forums here about the stale and stagnant play that was stinking up the bridge.

Under Tuchel. Under Lamps. Under Sarri.

History isn't being rewritten. We added trophies despite the quality of our play, not because of it.

Did you see us at the CWC? Sneaking past a saudi team....that dour and slow football was the norm under not just tuchel, but many before him.

As i said - we have been in decline for ages.

Now - I am not saying that the Potterer is the long term answer - but to judge what is clearly a long way term reset, after just a few months is brain dead.

I'm not making excuses, just pointing out the vastly different situations both managers inherited when they took over.

Despite a poor run we were just 4 points off top in November and started the season with 1 defeat in 12 games then Rafa took over a team that had JT, Cole, Mata, Hazard, Lamps, Cahill, Ivanovich, etcetc.

The present players are nowhere near that level , in terms of experience and togetherness .

I'm not defending the awful form we are in , but we were awful this season before Potter arrived.

I'm just as annoyed about our form as anyone, and Potter drives me insane with some of his decision making but the club are all over the place too with its decisions since the takeover

I want better , like you, but the long contract he's got suggests he ain't going anywhere.

And there's an open goal for you in that last sentence 😁😁😁

The match forums? Sure. I even remember people calling for him to be sacked if we lost the Champions League final. But that's because he was held to a far higher standard than Potter is currently

The performances? 3rd most goals scored in the league, 3rd highest chances created per 90, controlled pretty much every game. Our attackers let us down. Yet most people were saying in the forums that Tuchel was too defensive, and a different manager would get more out of the likes of Pulisic and Ziyech.

So, how do you think Potter was doing before January, with the same players Tuchel had? The only improvements we've seen are after Potter got given quality players, like Enzo and Joao Felix. Before that we were looking like a relegation team almost.

Personally, I think Tuchel was getting the most out of an overrated, average squad. But only time will tell I guess.

Oh bore off mate, you and numerous others keep taking this position all the time as a get out clause to say "well I did say he wasn't the right man" when he inevitably gets sacked.

You're not fooling anyone, it's clear you rate him as you make up a billion excuses for him then like to clap back in the thread after he wins. Just have the balls to say it.

Rafa finished 3rd and won the Europa League, whilst also getting 22 goals out of a finished Fernando Torres. He wasn't popular here because of what he said at Liverpool but he objectively did a decent job for us.

Potter has us 10th on goal difference going into April after spending 600m. If anything we've held him to a lower standard than any other Chelsea manager, Roman would've sacked him 10 times over by now

Roman would definitely have sacked Tuchel after our poor start and loss against Zagreb this season anyway .

Todd did it for other reasons but I've no doubt he would have got the boot around the same time.

So it was a decision on who to replace him . Not looking good so far though I'll admit, I can't wait for the season to end , but still have a ridiculous hope that we are going to get thru the next CL round.

Who knows, it's Chelsea, anything can happen.
