February 18, 20233 yr Looking at his games for Forest so far and reading comments on a Forest forum he seems every bit as good as the player that won 3x UCL at Real Madrid. Given the 'youth project' we are trying to build could this be another smart 'Silva' esque signing, experience to add to a young squad and a placeholder until Slonina is ready.
February 19, 20233 yr Since we’ve got the young Slonina in the ranks and Kepa on the books still and Mendy with 2 years left, he’d be a nice stop-gap. Only issue is PSG, they seemingly hate us now after Ziyech-gate, Navas’ contract expires summer 2024; not sure how easy it would be to do business with them again. Despite the understandable focus on bringing in another central midfielder, I too hope they don’t neglect how dire our goalkeeping situation is.
February 19, 20233 yr I think we currently have 7 on the books. Outgoings have to come first now surely. We've bought half the market and still can't make a functioning team or defined style of play. For me further purchases in this environment seem a bit pointless

Probably why we now have 3 goalkeeper coaches LOL #balancedsquadbuilding

For me further purchases in this environment seem a bit pointless Edou is half way out of the door, Slonina will likely go out on loan and Bettenelli doesn't really matter in the context of finding a new keeper as he'll never compete for #1 spot, he'll either stay as third choice or leave and we'll find another obscure keeper to take that role. May 13, 20233 yr Not a bad idea as well. Short term but still, we have Slonina so it might make sense. He is still an amazing goalkeeper, would be reminiscent of Thiago Silva coming in

June 17, 20233 yr Author With the news of Mendy likely leaving, us pulling out for Onana and Maignan not being interested I really hope at the want of a better option we seek a short term deal for this guy.
