August 12, 20232 yr Nice to see England win without extra time or penalties. Bright again superb. Hemp was very good and Russo did well too. Columbia had some good players though England had largely good tactics and rode their luck a bit. So the semis offer up an all English speaking match and a match-up more frequently seen in World Cup Rugby or Cricket.

I have a feeling for 2-0 to the Aussies. But who knows? Hard to use a piece of sandpaper to influence the movement of a football. 😉
August 16, 20232 yr May the best Blue win! I'm sweating with them on my hometrainer in front of the telly. Feeling very inspired.
August 16, 20232 yr The goalkeepers lack of height in woman’s football is glaringly obvious sometimes.

August 16, 20232 yr England grab the finals spot, 3-1 up now. This is a really entertaining, enjoyable match!
August 16, 20232 yr Penny for Sam Kerr's thoughts right now. Missed two guilt edged chances to level. Now it's 3-1
August 16, 20232 yr Turned it on at 1-0 and Kerr scores. Turned it off and walked a bit closer to my first venue. Checked score. 3-1. I’m not watching the final. It’s too risky.
August 16, 20232 yr Kerr probably goal of the tournament though had other chances she did not take. England scored good goals, next up Spain. Lauren Hemp stood out for me today.

August 16, 20232 yr Many congratulations to the England Women's team. My local pub opens at noon on a Sunday. I'll ask the landlady if the pub can open earlier so we can watch while enjoying a few beers. Edited August 16, 20232 yr by Boyne
August 16, 20232 yr I'm torn over who to support in the final. As a 3-way national (born in England, Irish passport, house in Spain), I have a foot in both camps. Rather than flip a coin, I've decided if it's sunny in central Bedfordshire on Sunday I'll support Spain, if it's raining I'll support England. It's almost certain to be England then.
