To be a great team you have to beat good opponents and today Arsenal were tough opponents.

First 20 minutes we were all over them and then from 24 mins it was mostly Arsenal and they looked more likley to score.

Unlike Maresca, Bompastor makes a sub at HT and to her credit made further good subs to keep us in the game for Lauren to finally get the chance to dribble in the box and win a penalty cleanly dispatched by the well known super sub, Guro Reiten and 3 points to the Blues.

The big name players always get the plaudits, but for me Erin Cuthbert is truly immense. Consistent, hardworking, gets a goal.

Very happy players after today's game.

Great performance and result in a very tough match.

Loved the way we started, on the front foot, pressing and having them on the rack, could of easily been a couple of goals ahead before Arsenal woke up.

That's the way big teams should play at home.

And of course Guru was the player for the big occasion - great penalty.

Arsenal got so many defenders in their box in that opening period to stop us getting any space.

The battle between Baltimore vs Beth Meade was interesting not sure the ref got it all right.

Surprised to see Utd in 2nd place I thought they were going to be off the pace.

I thought Baltimore had a good game, she’s had a bit of time off with an injury so 90 mins against Arsenal would have been tough.

Good player, nice and direct.

 

TBF Man Utd are one of the most improved teams in the division, I wouldn’t be surprised if the got a top 3 finish.
