Barn
There was me thinking it's a Chelsea forum! Chelsea in London, England, therefore the people that follow Chelsea would naturally follow England and so would love this rumour. But, the English press had a big hand in hounding JM out of Chelsea/England so why he would want to manage the national team is beyond me.

Barn
Don't take it personally mate, most people attached to Chelsea are getting up my nose at the moment. If I upset people - well no point in apologising you either understand me or you don't but if you're blue then I'll love you forever, despite what I sometimes say. They miss him and would love to have him back. Far from it, the media were devastated that Jose left, he was box office big time and with him gone half their fun and then some disappeared when their prime time headline maker went awol. They would have him back in this country like a shot. For all their digs at him and Chelsea one thing even his critics recognised is that he knew his stuff and was a damn fine coach. He has far more friends in the media for the headlines he generates than enemies. Still the job is madness, and he would be mad to take it. He's too young and he wants a big European club to manage not sitting around twiddling his thumbs in between meaningless friendlies until the world cup comes around. I'm presuming here we don't make it to the European Champs.
loz
If it happened we would at least find out 1. How Gerrard and Lampard can play together 2. If JT and Jose do think of ech other as fit for head lice 3. If Micah Richards can be trained not to cross the half way line

Imagine 1 year: World cup Champions League La Liga Copa Del Rey etc. Still the job is madness, and he would be mad to take it. Well, we all know Jos? is a bit mad. Brilliant, yes, but mad as a hatter
geezer
I sincerely hope he does go into International management of some form because that stops him taking over another English club for the time being.
Gem
Would be nice, as an English(wo)man AND a Chelsea fan. If players were going to leave to follow Mourinho, they can't. They can go to a different team with a different manager, but not all will want to do that.
Valerie
Sorry, Holland have dibs on Mourinho when Van Basten f**ks up our qualification But seriously, I'm with Geezer: I couldn't stand the thought of JM managing one or our opponents, not for a loooooong time. I would love to see him manage England though Never gonna happen...
Gem
I'd give my blessing (something I know Mourinho always looks for) for him to manage Scotland if it meant never managing again in England. It is a loss for the English game, but I'd rather be selfish at this moment in time.

Jimboola69
I would be prepared to offer Jose sexual favours to be England boss...he also have my sister and anyone else I know that he likes the look of. Imagine if England could actually WIN something. Why does it sound so odd?
The Brit
I find it quite amusing how all non-chelsea fans are bombarding sky, 606 etc saying they want jose as manager...didn't they hate him just a few months ago?Must be quite good after all, perhaps it wasn't all about the money! just
I sincerely hope he does go into International management of some form because that stops him taking over another English club for the time being. Well it provides the perfect stop gap for him until Old Red Nose finally retires and JM takes over at The Theatre of Muppets. Jose will one day be a Red. You read it here first. loz
the only problem with the idea of Jose as England boss is whether he would look to adopt the familiar 4-3-3/4-5-1 because quite frankly England don't have a centre forward capable of playing in the Drogba role and it begs the question 'where will Rooney play?' We have all seen how ineffective Rooney can be when asked to play out wide and also how he tends to lose the rag if he isn't performing to a standard he feels is acceptable. loz
According to Jonathan Legard Jose doesn't want it (no direct quotes though) and as for Paul Ince's comments I agree entirely. Take back what I said about Harry if it hasw to be an Englishman - if it has to be an Englishman I would be happy to take Glenn back. The Brit
that was another thing that amused me about the jose link...he has said repeatedly that he would only manage one national team (portugal) and that at the end of his career...it's so obvious he is waiting for a madrid, inter milan etc, why would he want to manage our bunch of muppets...more england arrogance if you ask me
