Barn
No doubt the best player in the world at the moment, and that freekick last night was the best I've ever seen by a country mile. Someone needs to do him.
Nibs
Despite the fact he plays for Man Utd, you really do have to admire the player. Okay, he may go down too easily. I also saw someone post recently that he has gone missing in the really big games - CL semi final v's Milan and cup final against us last year. Fair point, although many top players struggle in such big games as they are often such cagey affairs. But you have to say he is exceptional and just seems to be getting better and better and the scarey thing is that he is still only 22. Take him away from the current Man Utd side and you would seriously weaken them. I cannot think of another player - certainly not of that age, who performs to that sort of level more or less every game. Who is good with both feet, great in the air, has unbelievable pace and hits unstoppable free kicks. Just bloody glad he doesn't play for the other northern club who play in red. We can but hope he gets injured, but in the meantime the only silver cloud is all the points he is earning as captain of my fantasy football team (but there again, every other bugger has got him )
BLUENUT
Good player, probably up there with Messi as best in the world. Cheated England out of the World Cup, plays for Manu and is hanging out the back of Gemma Atkinson. Are there any other reasons to hate the f**king w*nker. I meant the Winker

Backbiter
3 years ago I would never have swapped Ronaldo for Robben. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
JT26CFC
I know what you mean, it took me about a year to finally say that Ronaldo...is good, infact a great player as much as it pains me to say this. But come on how could you not want him! He's scoring goals for fun at the moment and has virtually no competition in the "best wingers" of this year category. Arrgghh Ronaldo! but he'll always be an arrogant/diving cheater just happens to have some skill
MannyJello
i just re-watched the video of his goal-of-the-year candidate free kick yesterday, and suddenly it dawned on me: the arrogance, the annoying facial expressions, how very proud he is of himself, the fact he knows he's better than the others, the good looks (i'll admit it), the smugness... he's a young Jose Mourinho. bjd
His fantastic, and to think, Man Utd only bought him after we outbid them on Arjen Robben............. Not sure if that is actually correct. Ronaldo signed for them in Summer 2003 and im pretty sure we signed Robben in Jan 2004. And as for Ronaldo ? Well he is magnificent. No one can deny this. The way he has come on in the past 2 years is scary. I cant remember a player playing to such a standard as he is. bar stewards.
Tim
The one thing that is a bit of a misnomer, is his description as a 'winger', as he has played central and as a striker more often than not, so although his goal tally is still phenomenal, the addition of 'and he's only a winger!!' that most pro-Man U people ain't really the case. Clutching at straws though, I admit it. he's upsettingly good and not built like a f*cking glass statue like a certain Dutchman who used to fall over a lot. BLUENUT
More worrying is his age 22!!! We have players older than that who are still regarded as prospects!
Guest BluesBros
I hate everything about Ronaldo, but most of all that he's not playing at the Bridge. Arrogant SOB though, so think his protestations to the ref every time he's fouled would start to p*ss me off.
geezer
No doubt the guy is top drawer however the recent press comparisons putting him on a par with George Best brought a wry smile to me. Up until now Ronnie has not performed against the top Premiership clubs aka us and Le Arse nor has he performed against the low life from scouseland. Best performed against all levels (even with Chopper kicking lumps out of him) and until Ronnie does the same he ain't fit to lace the great man's boots. youlots
He was the major reason we couldn't do the treble last year. Could be the same this year (although the Arse is in the mix which makes it different). bar steward. Bloody good footballer though. Sometimes watching him and Giggs play together when they're on song is well....bar stewards.
