Chelsea John
Not sure if this has been asked before. Has any other team in europe or even world football got a home record as good as ours or better.
loz
Probably not at the momenyt but I don't think it is the best run ever. I am pretty sure Steua Bucharest once went on an unbeaten home run that lasted just over 100 games (can't remember exactly how many)
SydneyChelsea
Al-Ahly in Egypt hold the African record, with 55 games unbeaten.
coco
The record stands at 79 after the Boro win, Wigan at home it will make it 80 unbeaten at home in the EPL, remember only 19 home matches p/season. So if we do make the century, it should be about Feb/March 2009.
Guest
Being unbeaten in that many games is good, but it doesn't necesarilly mean our home record is that great. Afterall, it's better to play 3, win 2 and lose 1 than to play 3, win 1, draw 2 and lose none.

Qaz, you're starting to worry me mate! Is that sun getting stronger down under? It is a sensational record. Even if the press don't seem all that bothered by it. That is a pretty good record It's an amazing record really yet the press have never really picked up on it have they? Imagine if the record was being created by one of the other members of the so called 'big four' I think we could place a safe bet on them crowing something chronic about it. forbzy
What about the record in all competitions? I think it it is even more games and goes back to the 2-1 defeat against Barca in 2006.

dkw
to be honest. im starting to wonder if this record will end up being a problem. id hate to get to a point where were more bothered about not losing our home record than actually going all out to get a win. maybe a defeat in a nothing game wouldnt be such a bad thing. maybe the media would even catch on to what a fantastic record it is. c3blu
I'd like to keep the run going as long a possible, but i'd also hate us to not go for a win because we were conscious of the record like dkw says. It felt a little like that in the Liverfool game. Better to win 1 lose 1 than draw 2.
